Most marketing agencies focus on campaigns.

We focus on growth.

At Thrive In Design, we partner with interior product manufacturers and design-driven brands that want to create stronger alignment between marketing, sales, and business development.

Because the goal isn't simply to create more content.

The goal is to create the right strategy that drives awareness, relationships, specification opportunities, and revenue.

Our work typically focuses on five key areas:
📍 Marketing Strategy
Creating a roadmap that supports business goals.
📍 Content & Storytelling
Helping brands communicate their value more effectively.
📍 Sales & Specification Alignment
Connecting marketing efforts to specification growth and sales outcomes.
📍 Industry Positioning
Helping brands stand out in a crowded marketplace.
📍 Training & Education

Providing teams with the knowledge and tools they need to adapt and grow.

Whether we're developing strategy, creating content, facilitating workshops, or helping brands navigate emerging technologies like AI, our mission remains the same:

To help interior product manufacturers grow intentionally and strategically.
We're also excited to be expanding our educational offerings through Thrive In Design School and an upcoming course launching later this summer.

If you're an interior product manufacturer or design-driven brand, chances are you've invested time and resources into marketing.

You've posted on social media.
You've updated your website.
You've created content.
You've attended industry events.

But many brands still find themselves asking:
"Why isn't this translating into more specification opportunities, stronger relationships, or measurable business growth?"

That's where Thrive In Design comes in.

We help interior product manufacturers move beyond marketing activity and focus on marketing impact.

Our work is centered around helping brands:
✔ Increase visibility within the architecture and design community
✔ Strengthen brand positioning
✔ Create strategic, purposeful content
✔ Support sales teams with better marketing alignment
✔ Generate more specification opportunities
✔ Build systems that support long-term growth

Because marketing shouldn't operate in a silo.

The strongest brands align marketing, sales, business development, and customer experience around a shared growth strategy.

That's what we help our clients achieve.

We don't believe brands need more random content.

We believe they need a clear strategy that connects visibility to business outcomes.

If your team is ready to move from scattered marketing efforts to strategic growth, we'd love to connect.

There’s nothing quite like seeing a collection finally make its way into the market.

We’re excited to celebrate the launch of a new fabric collection from our client, Decorator Industries, created in collaboration with Design Pool.

Thrive In Design has had the opportunity to support Decorator Industries around this launch, and Nicole Lashae Hall, our Founder and Principal Design Strategist, has loved seeing the excitement not only around the collection itself, but from the sales reps and internal team who now get to take it into the market.

That part matters.

Because a collection launch isn’t just about creating beautiful products and announcing that they’re available.

The people representing the collection need to understand the story behind it. They need to know how to talk about it. They need the tools and confidence to bring it into conversations with designers and customers.

And when the internal team is genuinely excited about what they’re bringing to market, you can feel the difference.

This collaboration between Decorator Industries and Design Pool is a great example of what can happen when product, design, story, and sales activation come together.

We’re proud to be supporting the Decorator Industries team as they bring this collection to market—and even more excited to see where it goes from here.
Congratulations to the Decorator Industries and Design Pool teams on the launch. 👏

As we enter the final quarter of 2026, Nicole, our Founder and Principal Design Strategist, keeps coming back to one question:

What does intentional growth actually look like right now?

After spending this year working alongside interior product brands, we’ve seen how easy it can be to associate growth with doing more.

More content.
More marketing.
More events.
More leads.
More places your brand needs to show up.

But sometimes the bigger opportunity is getting clearer about what’s already in front of you.

What does your audience actually need from your brand?

Is your brand story helping people understand why your product belongs in their projects?

Are sales and marketing telling the same story?

And are the things you’re investing in actually moving the business forward—or simply keeping everyone busy?

These are some of the questions Nicole Lashae Hall, Founder and Principal Design Strategist at Thrive In Design, has been thinking about as we head into Q4—and they’re questions we’ll be exploring at Thrive In Design over the next few months.

Not because there’s one definition of growth that works for every brand.

But because how we define growth shapes what we choose to build next.

So we’re curious:

What does intentional growth look like for your business right now?

Customer Insight Is Only Valuable When It Changes What You Do

There’s a difference between collecting customer insights and using them to make better business decisions.

During my conversation with Kate Rancourt of One Workplace, she shared:

“Insight without activation doesn’t move the business. It doesn’t make you money.”

For interior product manufacturers, that means research is only the beginning.

What did you learn about your customers? Has the way designers specify changed? Are sales teams hearing new objections? Do you need to rethink your positioning, messaging, or offer?

The value is in asking:

What does this change for the business?

Customer insight should inform what happens next across sales, marketing, and leadership. That’s how research becomes strategy—and strategy supports growth.

As we continue our summer podcast throwback series, this conversation with Kate is worth revisiting.

You don't have to choose between being skeptical of AI and experimenting with it.

You can do both.

Kate Rancourt made that point during our conversation about AI's growing role across design, sales, and leadership.

AI deserves thoughtful questions around accuracy, privacy, data, ethics, safeguards, and how we're integrating it into our organizations.

But being thoughtful doesn't mean sitting on the sidelines.

Kate's advice:

“Stay critical and don't let that keep you on the sidelines.”

Experiment. Learn. Question the output. Apply your own experience. And keep your critical thinking in the process.

Because as AI gets more capable, our responsibility for how we use it becomes more important—not less.

Here's a simple shift that can change the way you use AI:

Stop giving it commands without context.

Start briefing it the way you would a colleague.

During our conversation, Kate explained that when we approach AI as something that simply does our bidding, we often leave out the information it needs to be useful.

Think about how you'd delegate an important project to someone on your team.

You'd explain the situation.
You'd tell them what you're trying to accomplish.
You'd give them relevant background.
And you'd probably ask if they had questions before getting started.

Try doing the same with AI.

The goal isn't to pretend technology is human.

It's to recognize that better context creates better collaboration—and usually better output.

What if AI could help your sales team walk into the room better prepared?

Not with a script to memorize.

With better questions to consider.

In our conversation with Kate Rancourt ( @oneworkplace), we explored how sales professionals can use AI before an important stakeholder meeting—providing context about the account, stakeholder, relationship, common objections, and desired outcome.

Then AI can help you think through possible priorities, questions, and approaches before the conversation happens.

But there's an important distinction:

Preparation isn't the same as knowing your customer.

You still have to listen. Read the room. Ask the next question. Apply your experience. And recognize when the conversation is going somewhere you didn't anticipate.

AI can help you prepare.

The relationship is still yours to build.

Sometimes the problem isn't the AI output.

It's the context we gave it.

During our conversation with Kate Rancourt, she walked through a practical approach to prompting that starts before asking AI to create anything:

Role. Audience. Objective. Output.

What I love about this approach is that it doesn't just make AI more useful. It forces us to become clearer about what we're actually trying to accomplish.

If you're asking AI to help with LinkedIn, for example, who are you trying to reach? Why are you posting? What do you want that audience to understand? What business goal should the content support?

Those are strategic questions—with or without AI.

Swipe through for a simple framework you can try with your next prompt.

What part of your job is uniquely human?

AI can draft the email, research an account, and help you prepare for a meeting.

But it can’t build trust, read the room, or know when a designer needs you to stop presenting and start listening.

During my conversation with Kate Rancourt of One Workplace (@oneworkplace) , she raised an important question:

“What part of my job is uniquely human?”

For sales professionals, that’s where the opportunity with AI gets interesting.

Use AI to strengthen your preparation—not replace your presence. Let it support the research and organization so you have more capacity for what relationships still require: intuition, empathy, experience, critical thinking, and trust.

As we continue our summer podcast throwback series, this is one conversation worth revisiting.

Most brands don’t have a shortage of content.

They have a shortage of opportunities to go deeper.

That’s something worth revisiting from our conversation with Ericka Saurit (@sauritcreative) on the Thrive In Design Podcast.

Ericka talked about why podcasting can create a different kind of connection than many of the channels brands rely on every day. Social media, websites, and email all have an important role—but they don’t always give you the space to tell the fuller story behind your expertise, perspective, and purpose.

And that raises an important question for interior product brands:

Are you creating more content—or creating more understanding?

Your audience doesn’t need to hear everything about your brand at once. But they do need opportunities to understand what you believe, what you know, and why your perspective matters.

Sometimes the next step isn’t another post.

It’s finding a better way to tell a deeper story.
