Your ‘dream body’ isn’t going to come from dieting

And this is where most women mess up

Fat loss is literally the start but you keep giving in when you’ve lost a few pounds and think it’s job done

But we know what happens next don’t we

You have zero idea of what to do next

The old habits slide back in because you don’t know how to get up to maintenance, you don’t know how to build muscle!

And you end up back at square one, dieting again 🫠

Gabby’s transformation is a perfect example of why there’s more to changing your body than just losing fat

The fat loss was just the foundation

And yeah she’s lost a huge 3 stone!

But we’ve also spent time reverse dieting, maintaining and focusing on building muscle

Because if you want more shape, definition and that “I actually LOOK like I lift” physique, constantly trying to get smaller isn’t going to get you there girl!!

There will be a point when you need to stop chasing a lower number on the scales and start thinking about what you’re actually trying to build

And Gabby hasn’t just winged it

She’s done it properly with me coaching her through every step

because if you’ve never done this before, you don’t know what you don’t know!

But the goal is to get you to a place where you can eat more food

Where you don’t have to worry about the scales anymore

Where you can focus on actually getting stronger, faster and fuelling your body properly

Where you can have more freedom and flexibility with socials and holidays

Without sending yourself into a diet every first Monday of the month

And this is where all the fun happens in coaching

This is the difference between constantly trying to lose weight and actually having a strategy to build the physique you want

Fat loss is literally the foundation

You don’t need to just keep on dieting

Take it from Gabby, it’s way more fun eating more and actually making it a sustainable lifestyle

She’s smashed it, she’s owning the gym with confidence and she’s even signed herself up for an October running challenge

So if you’re ready to build that strong, lean body you’ve wanted for years

Send me a “hello” before I close my spaces until next year 👋🏼 by @thriving.withlaura

From a girly who always wore black because it was the only thing she felt comfortable in…

To a girl who’s throwing weights around like toothpicks and rocked a photo shoot in a sports bra and shorts.

It’s mad what happens when you stop beating yourself up isn’t it.

Believe it or not Alexandra used to struggle with doubting her abilities in the gym.

She’d had a PT, she’d done a workout plan, but she never had the right support and accountability to keep pushing her forwards and challenging those self-limiting beliefs.

She felt stuck doing daft meal plans which never took into account the fact she was a veggie or helped her hit her protein goals.

She knew where she wanted to be.

’THAT GIRL’ in the gym.

The one who rocks sports bras, who does pull ups, who is sooo comfortable and confident in their routines.

This was about Alexandra showing up for herself, proving those self-limiting beliefs wrong.

Never an end goal of being (insert random number on scale here).

We moved through different phases of her journey to help shape her lifestyle.

👉🏼 Dropping body fat to help her feel more toned and defined

👉🏼 Building strength, nailing pull ups/chin ups and learning to deadlift twice her bodyweight!!

👉🏼 Marathon territory, learning how to fuel her body whilst balancing strength training

👉🏼 And now finding that balance between running and lifting and learning new skills like olympic lifting

Because this is a lifestyle, not a quick fix.

Showing her that entering your 30s doesn’t mean doom and gloom, but building self-belief, learning to back herself and doing things she never dreamed of.

This has shaped her to be ‘that girl’ who can rock a sports bra with confidence in the gym, who takes photos without worrying, and celebrates her gains instead (I mean look at that back) 💪🏻

This is true confidence.

And if you’re sat here thinking damn I want to be ‘that girl’ and you’re ready to break the pattern of doing the same 💩 every January and going it alone…

I’m now opening up spaces for January 2026.
If you want to know how I can help you be your most confident self and ditch the self doubt in 2026, send me a ‘hello’. by @thriving.withlaura

I think we’ve come quite far now to accepting that we ain’t going to get bulky

Lifting weights will unfortunately not turn you into a muscle machine

It’s actually pretty hard to gain muscle 😅

But you’re probably not growing the shape you want because you never push your lifts enough

You constantly stay in your comfort zones

Worried about pulling daft faces, worried you’ll have to bail a rep or maybe even drop the weights 🤷🏼‍♀️

And this kinda ego is holding you back from growing the shape you want!

You don’t have to take every single set and exercise to failure but you do need to get pretty close

And most of us don’t even know what that feels like

Because you’re too scared!!

I promise you, you’ll start seeing changes in both your strength and shape when you really start to push to that point of feeling like your heads going to blow off

And if you need a programme to set you up so you can stop winging it with what to do and just focus on progressing your lifts

Comment “glutes” below and I’ll send you my free glute programme 🍑 by @thriving.withlaura

I cannot believe I’m saying this

Because it has been a well known fact that I strongly disliked running and would do ANYTHING to avoid it

Give me a barbell, give me gymnastics anyday

But I like doing hard things and proving to myself I CAN do something

And I’ve slowly fallen in love with running 😬

And one of the s big reasons why is because I’ve learnt to go slower

I always thought I had to be PBing every run

Hammering it and then wondering why it felt so uncomfortable

But now, the majority of my runs are steady “easy” runs

Where I can hold a conversation

And it’s amazing how much more I actually enjoy it when I’m not trying to kill myself off

So apparently I can say “I love running” now

I might not be saying that mid marathon though 😬😂 by @thriving.withlaura

Dabbled in gymnastics as a child until the coach sat on my back 🫠

Got all my swimming badges and all but sport wasn’t my thing growing up

And I know there’s a lotttt of incredible women on here who have always live, laughed and loved exercise all their life

That’s not me 😅

And it’s actually made me an even better coach

Because I know how it feels to go from feeling totally out of your depth and vulnerable in the gym

And thinking everyone else is killing it whilst you’re just plodding away

But the best advice I can give is to stop bloody giving up

Yeah learning how to do a pull up is hard

Yes getting into the best shape of your life won’t be easy

But don’t let that put you off

Because the magic happens when you crush those self limiting beliefs that told you you couldn’t do it

And you just do it anyway

That’s where the confidence comes from 💁🏼‍♀️

The cool skills are just a byproduct of all your hard work! by @thriving.withlaura

Nothing is more rewarding than changing so many women’s lives 🥹 and accidentally unintentionally PBing my 10k time twice in one week 💃🏼 Also wildddd my coaching spaces are almost full until 2027 😮 by @thriving.withlaura

The return to exercise post surgery has been SO much better than I ever anticipated

I got my ballot place for London 2 or 3 weeks before surgery and though no chance 🫣

But here I am running, being able to breathe out of both nostrils and feeling SOOOO good

I’d say im lucky I already had a good base

But it’s not luck is it

It’s years of strength training and building muscle that have helped me to get back into it

Considering I’d only done a handful of runs this year before surgery

I know that my strength has helped me return to it without getting injured or feeling absolutely done it

More reasons to strength train girls 👀 by @thriving.withlaura

20 year old me would’ve never thought we would be in the best shape of our life, mid 30s

But here we are, training to be stronger, fitter and to feel my best because life’s too short to just feel average

Plans in motion for next year to take some of my girls through this prep too 📸 by @thriving.withlaura

It’s got nothing to do with not putting enough hours in

It’s nothing to do with exercise selection

You don’t need a better ‘blueprint’

You need a roadmap with someone guiding you along the way

Showing you how less balls to the wall (literally) can actually get you better results

So if you’re sick of winging it, feeling like you’re on a hamster wheel but never looking any bloody different

Send me a “hello”

But it might be your last shot of 2026 because my spaces will be full come November 👀 by @thriving.withlaura

If you’re reading this Mum no I didn’t 🙄

But coming from a background of HATING PE

Dropping out of gymnastics and swimming as a child

And spending my twenties living on mostly pot noodles and vodka

I’m a changed woman

For the good

Because I learnt how good it feels to be strong

And look pretty good along the way too

We’d be lying if we said we didn’t train for aesthetics right by @thriving.withlaura

If you’re overcomplicating your workouts you’re leaving the gains on the table 💁🏼‍♀️

Your glutes don’t need 10 exercises

You’re better doing 4 solid exercises with intensity

Sets where you actually need to rest between them

Where we’re not chasing the ‘burn’ but you’re taking lifts to failure and it feels like you’re arse is going to fall off 😂

Most women don’t even know what that looks like because they’re scared to fail

Leave the ego of trying to look cute on the table

And start pushing and training hard

And if you need some structure to help to take your backside from pancake to peach

Leave the word “glutes” below and I’ll send you over my free glute programme 🍑 by @thriving.withlaura
