A quick reminder that City Council meetings are open to the public, and Edmontonians are welcome to stay informed about decisions affecting our community. This includes attending today’s special City Council meeting.

You can watch meetings on YouTube or attend in person at City Hall. Meetings are only closed to the public if confidential information must be discussed.

Please note that regular Council meetings generally don't include public speaking opportunities. Instead, you can share your voice by speaking at committee meetings or emailing written input to the City Clerk to distribute to Council.

Public engagement and transparency matter. I encourage everyone to stay involved, stay informed, and help shape the future of our community!

You can find the YouTube Channel and more information on today's Council meeting at Edmonton.ca/meetings. by @thuforyeg

What started as one mom’s dream is becoming a village where South Asian moms can connect, feel heard, and find their people.

Our visit to City Hall was more than just a meetup. It was a reminder that moms deserve a voice, too.

Thank you, Thu Parmar, for welcoming us and making space for our community.

From the Boots, Buckles & Bling Kickoff Party to the Premier’s Pancake Breakfast and the action at Rogers Place, our city’s Western hospitality was on full display.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, local businesses, and fans who made CFR 2026 such a success for Edmonton’s culture and economy! by @thuforyeg

Congratulations Zubia on winning a Gift Card to @dovetailcafe.yeg in Lynnwood, through our September newsletter contest!

We hid a question within the newsletter. How many NSL teams play across Canada? The answer is six teams, with a seventh set to join next year.

Would you like the opportunity to intern in my office? Apply for the Civic Youth Fellowship (CYF).

This paid, 10-week summer internship gives young leaders ages 19–30 from underrepresented communities a direct role in shaping Edmonton. Fellows work on real city projects alongside City Administration, Councillors' Offices and the Mayor's Office.

Know a young leader who should be at the table? Share this before applications officially close!

Application Deadline: Sunday, October 18 at 11:59 p.m. (late applications will not be accepted). To learn more or apply, visit the Civic Youth Fellowship page on the City of Edmonton website. by @thuforyeg

Congratulations to the A&W and Petro Canada in Stillwater on their grand opening today. I hear from residents that they want amenities where they live and this is a great addition to Ward sipiwiyiniwak.

The event runs until 4:00 p.m. If you purchase a 50/50 ticket to the Woodbend Hall, you can also enjoy a $1 Buddy Burger. The 50/50 tickets support the Rebuild the Fun Playground Revitalization Project. The draw date for the 50/50 will be Saturday October 17th at 8 pm at the Square Dance event at Woodbend Hall.

Thank you for the invitation to join the celebration. This will be my new go to gas station! by @thuforyeg
