In the wise words of Elle Woods… “What, like it’s hard?” 💁🏽‍♀️😝

This is JOY. I believed I could do it —and honestly, no one was going to change my mind on that one 😂—and I did the damn thing 🧠🎓

And as wonderful as this day was, what means the most to me is the woman, mother, wife, and student I’ve become on my path to medical school 🌱

I’m so grateful for every person who has helped me get here, but especially my husband Peeter and my kiddos. They’ve made so many sacrifices for this dream right alongside me.

Poor Chloé even had to sit through an entire summer semester of ochem at Davis against her will while I was pregnant with her. I’m sure she was in there like, “LET ME OUTTTT.” 😂

I’ve been processing and embracing the joy, knowing the Joseph Family is only getting started!!

I’m a happy mama…. Mammmaaacitaaaaa 😁🥼🩺🩻🌱

It’s giving…. Love Island Season 363672 😂

But really we celebrated this past year!

8 years together, 7 married! 🍾
Buying a house!
Peeter getting promoted twice!
Me graduating the P2U program!
Officially being accepted into the U of U MD program and Intermountain Health Population Health Student Scholars Program!!
And our little Théo graduating Preschool 🥹 and our Chloé entering Pre-K this year!

It’s been a year of lessons, growth, and harvest. We sacrificed and have worked so hard the past 8 years to be ready to jump into opportunities as they presented themselves! It has been incredible to watch parts of our vision come to fruition 🥰 we have so many more goals and dreams we’re working towards, but it was great to take a pause and appreciate how far we’ve come 💛 taken in Waikiki Beach by @tiffinyjoseph

Studying for finals!

I had to quit any vices that no longer gave me something positive in return. And in doing so have built a very close relationship with my body. (I will touch on this another time). But now, I hear so loudly, my body screaming when I don’t release stress.

I listen.

I love that it wasn’t 100+ degrees today. I have spent most of the day in the basement studying while my family took my kids out, so thankful! So since there was a breeze and the sun was out I thought it was best to get outside instead of hitting the treadmill. It felt great, and now I’m ready to get back to it!

I know it may seem silly to some, but removing things that aren’t supposed to be there is really satisfying and regulating for me. I think that’s why I will love surgery so much, whenever I get there! I’m gonna be in school for the rest of my life 😂

But I love the journey, I love what I do, I love growing, and overcoming parts of myself I never thought I would. It makes for a different kind of tired.

Anywhooo… remember to be kind to yourself, listen to your body, and as always.. rooting for you! (No pun intended 😅)

Sunday reset ✨

Last week was a bit of a rollercoaster.

My emotions and even reactions were all over the place. (Your girls triggers felt raw)

I’m grateful to have made my home my sanctuary, and to have incredible friends who help me stay grounded and who seem to always be the best example of kindness.

I’ve learned perfection isn’t human, and giving myself grace is necessary. So as I enter this new week I am doing all I can to fill my cup and leave my heart open.

I know that’s the only way I can continue to move towards my mission, and can make the biggest impact.

I hope everyone has the best Sunday ✨

And always remember, being alive means you’re blessed to begin again. And again. And again ✨
