It’s been an eventful summer, to say in the least😅 I signed a lease for a 1,200 sq ft storefront in mid-August and got things set up to start taking my clients there in only a couple of weeks. I’m really proud to present my new salon in downtown Oakland — VISCERAL SPACE.

NOT PICTURED: two empty, semi-private suites built into the larger space. My vision has never been to own a traditional hair salon with all the matching stations in a row, but rather something more expansive than that. In addition to renting chairs to hair artists in the communal space, I am also seeking a couple of independent creatives and/or service providers to fill the rooms (hairstylists, nail artists, estheticians, waxers, cosmetic tattooers, florists, seamstresses, mini retail pop-ups….endless possibilities!)

I believe that it’s the people who truly make a space. Like a living, breathing organism, VISCERAL SPACE will always be shifting and changing. It’s exciting to see what will take shape, and I know there is nothing in the Bay Area that currently exists quite like it!

So far it’s just me (and you can book a haircut via the link in bio!) but hopefully not for long. This is only the beginning of something really special.

Diffused style— a touch of @afterworldorganics grooming lotion in very wet hair ( tiniest bit to add just enough weight to elongate the curl for longer ends) , topped off with @innersenseorganicbeauty I create Lift foam (to add a lightweight hold that won’t be too heavy on fine hair) by @tiffmccoll

FEELING ALL THE THINGS😭 as i transition into this new era. All appointments starting in September will take place at 2408 TELEGRAPH AVE! I also wanted to mention, with this change comes my first price increase since I went independent almost three years ago.
