Hellooo friends! It's been a long time.

First, thank you to everyone who has still continued to follow this account despite my inactivity, and those who continued reaching out to see if I'd be at future events.

As some of you may know, this isn't my primary line of work, and I'm still a product designer during the day. I let my Tiger Bomb work take a backseat as I stepped away for the last couple of years due to becoming a nail tech, prioritizing my grief around the loss of all my grandparents, and my inner healing. I wasn't sure if I'd return back to the vendor life, but I told myself that if I ever did, I wanted my craft to be intentional and because it brought me joy.

I met Lina last year when I was looking for some guidance on my path in life, and our encounter brought me much comfort through my grief.

Over the last year I focused on my spiritual journey, which unexpectedly led me closer to my roots. One of the advantages of having ADHD is that I am constantly trying to find new ways to keep myself stimulated. I trusted the flow of life, one thing led to another, and now I'm here. Life led me to Vietnamese calligraphy aka thư pháp. Calligraphy helps quiet my mind and the art of doing something traditional with every brushstroke feels so therapeutic.

Lina saw a gap in craft fairs and vendor events for businesses owned by BIPOC women & LGBTQ+ vendors in the Bay Area, so naturally she started creating a safe space for vendors to feel more represented. As an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and a secret woowoo girl, I just knew I couldn't pass up this opportunity! Thank you so much for cultivating this environment, Lina. 💜

Being out of the space for a while I'm nervous, scared, but mostly excited to just share my new craft with y'all. Some previous Tiger Bomb art will make its way back that day, and as for what the rest of the table will hold, your guess is as good as mine. But that's the beauty of surprises. ✨ by @tigerbombxtine

Hello friends, welcome to Stroke of Tâm!

I discovered thư pháp ever since I ran into a calligraphy booth at Vesak. Since May, I started taking traditional Vietnamese calligraphy classes, and I love it so much!

My teacher, Cô Giang, helped me make this sign for my new craft, and it's gorgeous! 😍 I can't wait to get on her level.

Tâm in Vietnamese means the heart, mind, and soul. The Vietnamese language is so beautiful and poetic—english translations do not do it justice.

Inspired by this new word I had learned, I felt 'Stroke of Tâm' was the perfect name for the intentional work I have been doing for myself in life and through the art of calligraphy. Know that every brushstroke of every letter comes from a genuine place of passion to share healing messages to each person. Plus puns (Tâm is pronounced like thumb)! Felt fitting to continue pun traditions with Tiger Bomb. 💜

Big thanks to @rootzandritual for getting me to push myself out of my comfort zone. 🥺 After going on hiatus for 2 years, I missed the vendor life, and it was the perfect show to dip my toes back in. Great vibes, great food, and great company! Lina did such a wonderful job organizing everything and I'm blessed for the opportunity. It helped me tap into this new business and curated experience that I never would've imagined for myself!

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness month. For those of you who have followed my mental health journey, you know how personal and dear to my heart this is.

I recently found an old diary entry from my younger self, thoughts and ideations no child should ever have across their minds. And I would soon learn to face this darkness several more times in my adult life.

This Saturday, September 20, I will be participating in the San Francisco Walk to honor those who have left this world far too soon, to honor my younger self, to honor those who have attempted, and to honor those who may be currently struggling.

It's ok to not be ok. You are not alone.

It was so great seeing many of you during the SJMade Holiday Fair! Some people were asking if I will be making a return to as a vendor at future shows anytime soon.

I don't currently have anything signed up for 2025, but I do miss vending at shows, so who knows?! Still on that hustle life with my design job during the day, and doing nails on the weekends.

It's been a minute since I've illustrated anything, but I'm getting my creative juice filled in other areas. 💅🏼 Thank you so much for your support through all my ADHD hobbies and career transitions over the years. 🥺

She's finished!

To achieve the Master of Nail Art certificate at school, we have to submit photos for the following techniques: bridal design, dipping techniques, rhinestone application, 3D art, gel-x application, current trends, hand painted art, and fantasy.

Fantasy can be a literal fantasy theme, or extra extravagant, non-functional, and impractical nails for daily use/not an ideal design to be done in one manicure session. The idea is to use some or all of our best techniques and apply it to the hand model for final submission. Here's the reveal of my final product. ✨

Colors used:

Nail color: Lavis Rubber base 04, GAOY 1950 & Glitter Top 05
Rose balls: Lavis Orchid Outburst 346 & Tinker Belle 207
