Art has a way of turning experiences into something lasting. ✨

Through an international artist residency in Portugal in partnership with the Atlanta BeltLine, artist Marryam Moma found inspiration for The Gift, a work reflecting both what the experience gave to her and what she gives back through her art.

Rooted in themes of femininity, joy and self-expression, her work celebrates the female form and the beauty of women experiencing happiness and freedom.

As displayed at the Atlanta Art Fair, The Gift is a reminder of how cultural exchange can inspire creativity that reaches far beyond borders.

It’s been one week since the Atlanta Art Fair ✨ (@atlartfair) and we can’t get enough of this beautiful presentation of Marryam Moma (@marryammomaart) and Charity Hamidullah (@charitymadeit) artworks.

The week generated over $15K in art sales. We’re grateful for our stellar booth team Rodney LoveJones (@bylovejones) Britt Sade (@iambritsade) Joanie Barbara (@euphoric_abstraction) and Tiffany LaTrice (@tiffany_latrice1)

Art can be a mirror, but it can also be a guide.

For Charity Hamidullah, empowerment and self-reflection sit at the heart of her work, exploring not only who we are, but who we’re becoming.

In this Artist Talkback, she reflects on a piece inspired by watching her friend’s son grow into his own personhood and the role parents and community play in helping young people navigate that journey.

It’s a reminder that becoming yourself doesn’t happen in isolation. The people who pour into us help shape what’s possible.

Meet Marryam Moma 💐

We’re excited to present Marryam Moma (@marryammomaart) at The Atlanta Art Fair, Booth A15, where she’ll debut a new body of sculpture following her 2025 ArtWorks × Atlanta Beltline (@atlantabeltline) residency in Porto.

For Moma, Duality became a meditation on personhood and transformation. From holding the child and adult within herself, letting play and discipline exist side by side. Ideas once explored through paper and collage now take shape in three dimensions.

We’re one day away from opening night at the @atlartfair ✨

To sum it up I wouldn’t be here without the organizations who nourished me.
•
They believed in my journey and provided a pathway when I didn’t always see the road!
•
Thank you to @tila_studios , @atlantabeltline and @artfulatl for believing in me and most importantly our art community.
•
The fair is four days but we planted these seeds years ago.
•
From sitting in a cohort of powerful black female artists with @marryammomaart at @tila_studios .
•
To years of artist enrichment with @artfulatl .
•
Murals on the @atlantabeltline .
•
To residencies at @noentulho & @atlantabeltline dreaming to evolve into a new chapter of my artistry. And, being provided a foundation to take me to my next chapters.

The seeds have been planted, watered and continue to grow.
