People see the lights, audio, livestream, and screens during the service. What they don’t see is everything that happens before the first person walks through the doors.Powering up systems, checking audio, testing the stream, loading files, verifying cues, and making sure everything is ready for Sunday. The goal isn’t to be busy during service. The goal is to be prepared before it starts.#churchtech #churchsound #churchproduction #techdirector by @tim.vs.tech

Most churches are only using Playback just for tracks…Meanwhile MIDI automation can run cue lights, visuals, transitions, and way more. 👀We’ve started automating parts of our Youth Wednesday and Sunday workflow so the team has less to think about during service.Instead of manually triggering everything, Playback can send MIDI commands exactly when they’re needed — making transitions smoother and communication clearer on stage.Small automations like this remove a surprising amount of stress on Sunday mornings. 🎛️PSA: THIS IS FOR OUR YOUTH NIGHTS AS AN OPENER! The lights are loud cause the kids go crazy during washed. I did program and create these lighting effects. I’m not a big lighting guy but I wouldn’t recommend programming lights like this for your Sunday in most cases 😂😂😂#churchtech #churchproduction #worshiptech by @tim.vs.tech

If your livestream sounds loud but lacks impact, check your limiter.A limiter should catch occasional peaks, not reduce gain throughout the entire service. If you’re using an X32, try the Precision Limiter on your broadcast bus and watch the gain reduction meter. If it’s constantly working, you’re likely crushing dynamics and making your mix feel smaller than it should. The goal isn’t to make the stream louder. The goal is to prevent clipping while keeping the energy and dynamics of the mix intact. How much gain reduction are you seeing on your broadcast limiter?#churchproduction #churchtech #churchsound #churchaudio #behringer by @tim.vs.tech

It’s easy to spend hours dialing in the band, then leave the sermon mic with yesterday’s settings. But for most churches, the message is the most important thing people hear each week.Take a few extra minutes to check gain, EQ, compression, and mic placement before service. Small adjustments can make a huge difference in clarity and help people stay focused on the message—not the audio.Don’t let the sermon be the weakest-sounding part of your mix.#churchtech #churchsound #churchaudio #worshiptech by @tim.vs.tech

The right plugin won’t fix a bad mix—but it can solve problems faster and help you get more consistent results. Here are 4 plugins I reach for all the time:• InTrigger – cleaner gates with more control.• Waves Tune – subtle live vocal pitch correction.• F6 – dynamic EQ for fixing frequencies only when they become a problem.• RDeEsser – smooths out harsh vocals without killing clarity. What FOH plugin can’t you live without? Let me know below. 👇#churchproduction #churchtech #churchsound #churchaudio #audioengineering by @tim.vs.tech

Programming lights ahead of time means fewer things to worry about during service and more consistency every week. This is one of my favorite ways to help a small tech team create a polished experience without needing someone behind the lighting console the entire night.Would your church benefit from lighting automation?#churchproduction #churchtech #worshiptech by @tim.vs.tech

Stop running lights manually.Using Playback and MIDI cues, you can automate your lighting changes so they happen exactly when you need them. Every song section, lighting look, and transition can be triggered automatically, giving your team one less thing to worry about during service.Automation won’t replace good programming, but it can make your Sundays more consistent, repeatable, and stress-free.What parts of your service have you automated? #churchproduction #churchtech #worshiptech by @tim.vs.tech
