A herd is, more or less, a group that moves together.

So it felt fitting to spend a sunny fall afternoon on Commonwealth Ave in Boston watching a second one form around the first, with families, photographers and kids darting from one elephant to the next.

The Great Elephant Migration is built around the idea of coexistence: finding ways for people and wildlife to share the same world. Even the elephants themselves are part of that story, handcrafted from Lantana camara, an invasive plant harvested in India.

Our kids got to know the herd pretty quickly, learning names like Uma, Meena, Irene, Kahwa and Peanuts. One of their favorites was Mayflower, the red one.

Beautiful work, beautiful mission. An afternoon spent happily among the herd. @greatelephantmigration taken in Commonwealth Avenue Mall by @timbradleyvideo

Split was our transition point twice: one night after Plitvice before heading out to Brač, and one final night after Hvar before flying home. Somehow, that was still enough time for it to leave a big impression.

The center of Split is built quite literally inside and around Diocletian’s Palace, constructed for a Roman emperor around 1,700 years ago. But it doesn’t feel like visiting an archaeological site.

People still live there. There are restaurants in it. Kids kick soccer balls against ancient walls. You turn down a tiny alley looking for gelato and suddenly you’re standing next to a Roman column or an Egyptian sphinx that somehow ended up there two thousand years ago.

The palace didn’t become a museum. Over centuries, it became the city.

After almost two weeks of lakes, ferries, beaches, boats and islands, it was a pretty great place to finish.

We wandered. We stayed out late. We let the kids encounter a few more things that don’t look anything like home.

Which was kind of the whole point.

And I’m so grateful for the experience.

By Hvar, the kids had apparently decided they were Adriatic people.

We swam off rocks. Jumped off boats. Collected seashells. Snorkeled around coves. Ate fresh seafood and prosciutto. Wandered Hvar Town. Climbed up to the fortress. Ate gelato. And spent a day on a little boat with a fifth-generation captain exploring Red Rocks and the Pakleni Islands just offshore.

The Paklenis are a chain of islands, islets and reefs scattered across the water in front of Hvar island, full of tiny beaches, pine trees, narrow passages and absurdly blue coves.

Toss in some breadcrumbs and suddenly you’re snorkeling with hundreds of tiny blue fish.

It was one of those days where there wasn’t really a destination. The boat was the day.

Find a beautiful place. Stop. Jump in. Swim around. Get back on the boat. Find another one.

I have approximately nine million pictures of blue water from this portion of the trip and somehow none of them quite capture it.

And then, on our last night, we were walking around at sunset when someone pointed out that the sun looked a little strange.

Partial solar eclipse, right over the Adriatic.
Right place, right time.

A pretty magical way for Hvar to send us off. taken in Hvar Island, Croatia by @timbradleyvideo

I think Bol, on the island of Brač, was where we figured out how we wanted to spend the rest of this trip.

Walk somewhere. Get extremely sweaty. Jump in the Adriatic. Dry off. Eat something Dalmatian. Walk somewhere else. Repeat.

We stayed a few minutes from the waterfront and basically lived on foot, usually following the pine-shaded promenade between town and Zlatni Rat — the ridiculously beautiful spit of white pebbles that sticks out into the sea and actually changes shape with the wind and currents.

But my favorite part was watching the kids get more comfortable in the water every day. Swimming farther. Floating in the salty sea. Jumping off all the things. Stuff that would have been a very hard no a month earlier.

Andrea and I also have a newfound appreciation for the athletes on American Ninja Warrior after playing on the oversized inflatable obstacle course on the water. So, so funny.

By the end, walking 20 minutes in 90-something-degree heat to go swimming somewhere barely registered as an inconvenience.

We’d just show up sweaty and jump in.

That might have been my favorite rhythm of the entire trip. taken in Bol, Brač Island, Croatia by @timbradleyvideo

We landed in Split after an overnight flight, picked up a rental car and immediately drove three hours into the Croatian countryside because apparently easing into a vacation is not our style.

23 hours of traveling?
Worth it. 🇭🇷

Plitvice Lakes National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of those places that somehow looks even crazier in person than it does in photos. It’s a system of 16 named lakes cascading into one another through waterfalls, all created by constantly growing natural limestone barriers called tufa.

And the best thing is that you experience most of it from wooden boardwalks that put you right on top of the water. It’s so clear that at times it feels like you’re floating.

We spent two jet-lagged half-days walking past and over approximately 4,000 waterfalls, taking the boat across turquoise Lake Kozjak, watching schools of fish in water so clear they looked suspended in air, and repeatedly saying some variation of 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦?

A pretty spectacular way to start our adventure. by @timbradleyvideo

The video category is one of the most crowded in B2B and most of the studios in it pitch the same outputs, things like ads, explainers, and testimonials.

Tim Bradley chose to lead with a framework instead. The video marketing trifecta covers differentiation (why you exist and why anyone should care), demonstration (what you do and how), and validation (the endorsements that close the trust gap on a long buying cycle).

Same outputs as every other studio. Completely different way to talk about them.

Dragons love tacos.
Kids love cardboard.
Dads love overengineering things with duct tape.

30+ years after racing in my first “Cardboard Classic” as a kid, this past weekend I was back at my hometown ski mountain, @berkshire.east . This time alongside my 7- and 10-year-olds and a whole crew of family and friends I grew up with, now doing the same with their kids.

Meet our sled: “Dragons Love Tacos” 🌮🐉
Inspired by the @rubingo_books book. Built with:

• appliance store cardboard
• garage-made lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese
• a LOT of colorful duct tape
• and two very committed kids.

The Rules: cardboard, duct tape, paint. That’s it.

Despite rain, slush, and questionable structural integrity, we crossed the finish line to the crowd’s chants of “Let’s go, taco!”

And somehow… took home “Most Unique” 🏆

But the best part wasn’t the award. It was hearing the lodge cheer when our number got called and watching the kids walk up to collect their prize like they’d just won the Super Bowl.

Because there’s something really special about events like this…

You’re just 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 something with the people around you.

And for a few hours, that’s enough.

10/10 would dumpster dive again. taken in Berkshire East by @timbradleyvideo

For our 15-year anniversary, Andrea and I headed north to Iceland — the land of fire, ice, and a whole lot of wind 🇮🇸

It was our first time away from the kids for more than a couple nights, and honestly, it was exactly what we needed: a little adventure, a lot of quiet, and endless reminders of how small (and lucky) we are.

Between the ferocious black-sand beaches, the thundering waterfalls, and the ritual of slipping into geothermal heat after a long day exploring, Iceland had us constantly saying, “is this even real?”

We chased rainbows, sunshine, and gale-force winds. Missed the Westman Islands, but made up for it with Reykjavík’s food scene. Easily the second-best trip we’ve ever taken together (Kauai still holds the crown).

Grateful, recharged, and a little more in awe of the world… and each other. 🌍❤️ @andigirl82 taken in South Iceland by @timbradleyvideo
