Perhaps this is one of life’s most painful reminders: we are only passing through. 🕊️💔

@toluwanisings You gave us songs that lifted our eyes towards heaven, reminded us of God’s faithfulness, and gave words to prayers we could barely express.

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how painful this is for me. Your passing has touched a part of my heart that words cannot fully explain. I don’t cry easily over the loss of people I never personally knew, but you are one of the very few whose departure brings tears to my eyes. And today, my heart is genuinely heavy.

Now, the voice that blessed so many has fallen silent here on earth. What a painful reminder that even the voices that have brought us closer to heaven must one day leave this earth.

May the God you sang about comfort every heart grieving your departure. May the songs you left behind continue to minister to generations yet unborn.

(7/31) NIGERIA 🇳🇬

For Nigeria, I wanted to explore the idea that strength can also mean supporting one another. The two hands reaching from opposite sides of the Nigerian flag and holding each other’s wrists represent connection, unity and the strength we find in community.

The white facial markings are inspired by Yoruba artistic traditions, bringing another layer of Nigerian cultural identity into the living canvas.
