GOLF AFTER 55 ISN’T OVER.
WE’RE JUST GETTING EXPENSIVE. 😂⛳️

Here’s the part of golf marketing I think brands are sleeping on:

Golfers 65+ are 22% of America’s on-course golfers… but account for 27% of the spending.

And among keen golfers surveyed ages 55–64:

🔥 40% expected to spend MORE on golf
🔥 29% had bought or planned to buy new clubs
🔥 56% planned to play MORE golf

We’re not aging out.

We’re playing. Traveling. Getting fitted. Testing tech. Buying clubs. Buying clothes. And yes… buying things we absolutely do not need because they might save us 3 shots. 😂

That’s the golfer I create for.

I just turned 60 (still hard to believe)…

Confidence in your clubs isn’t a myth.

There’s a moment in golf when you stop wondering whether the club is going to do its job.

You’ve hit that shot enough times.
You know what the club can do.
You know what you can do.

So you stand over the ball, take a breath, and swing.

No steering.
No last-second rescue attempt.
No trying to manufacture perfection.

Just commitment.

You do your part.

The club does its part.

And somewhere in that tiny space between trust and execution is one of the most beautiful things about this game.

Golf has a funny way of teaching us that confidence isn’t believing you’ll hit a perfect shot.

Confidence is knowing you can make your swing—and letting the club do what you trusted it to do.

That’s the feeling.

That’s the vibe.

That’s golf. 🏌️‍♂️

I’VE BEEN PLAYING THE WRONG CLUBS FOR 25 YEARS. 😳⛳️

Not bad clubs.

Wrong clubs for me.

I’m 6’5”. Big hands. Bad back. Limited mobility.

And I’ve spent years trying to make standard clubs fit me.

Look at my setup.

Too bent over.
Grips too small.
Always fighting the club.

Here’s the crazy part:

I LOVE this bag.

@callawaygolf @mizunogolfnorthamerica @clevelandgolf @odysseygolf Pro V1.

But good clubs don’t automatically mean good fit.

So October in #johnscreek is about one thing:

STOP GUESSING. GET FIT.

Length.
Lie.
Shaft.
Weight.
Grip.
Launch.
Spin.
Dispersion.
Putter.

Everything.

And please don’t hand me a “senior shaft” just because I’m 60 😂

I want what fits my body and my swing NOW.

My preference? @PXG.

But I’m open to Callaway, Mizuno, and great independent builders too.

I’m not chasing 10 more yards.

I’m chasing:

comfort. control. forgiveness. consistency.

Because I want to play tournaments again, travel, review gear, and see how good 60 can actually get.

Maybe the problem isn’t always the swing.

Maybe sometimes…

the clubs just don’t fit the golfer.

Monday golf at dawn just hits different for me. 🌅⛳️

The course is quiet.
The air feels cleaner.
Nobody’s rushing you yet.

Just you, a cup of coffee, a few clubs, and that little voice saying:

“Alright. New week. Let’s go.”

There’s something about standing on a golf course before the rest of the world really wakes up that resets your head.

Last week doesn’t matter much out here.

That bad round? Gone.
That missed putt? Gone.
That thing you’ve been overthinking? Somehow it feels smaller at sunrise.

Golf gives you that reminder every Monday morning:

You don’t need a perfect week. You just need to show up for the next shot.

So whatever you’re chasing this week — on the course or off it — get after it.

And enjoy the quiet while you can. 😎

The views said, “Relax.” The wind and greens had other plans. 😂⛳️🌊

Throwback to @solmargolflinks in Cabo with @tydowning and the crew, filming for @skynav.co . Pacific views, sweeping dunes, desert scenery—and a round that demanded your attention.

The wind made club selection interesting. The lightning-fast greens made “just get it close” sound wildly optimistic. Course management was a must. Beautiful golf. A proper test.

Two holes I’m still thinking about:

🌊 No. 5 — the downhill par 3. That dune. The Pacific beyond. One of those tee boxes where you take another picture, then remember you’re supposed to hit a golf shot.

🏝️ No. 17 — the island-green par 3. Beautiful to look at. A little less relaxing when you’re holding a club. Add the wind, and the middle of the green starts looking like a very good life decision.

The greens were lightning fast. You had to think your way around this place. I loved the challenge—even when my scorecard and I weren’t speaking.

I just turned 60. I’m 6′5″, working around back limitations and rebuilding my game. And I know I’m not the only golfer over 55 thinking, “There’s still better golf in me.”

That’s who I create for.

Can properly fitted clubs help? Which shoes still feel good after the round? Does the apparel actually fit? Is that course worth the trip?

Club manufactures, golf apparel and footwear teams: I’m looking for a long-term equipment partner and paid content collaborations. Let’s document the fitting, the practice and the real rounds—with useful answers golfers can trust.

And courses: I’d love to come play, film and tell your story through an everyday golfer’s eyes.

Correcting a few things in todays practice round. Goals are 1️⃣ Driver - slow by 50% and increase accuracy. 2️⃣ Irons - tweak stance for better compression %. 3️⃣ New Wedges - get accustomed to them.
