Wrote a whole caption that disappeared so trying again 😅

Recorded and mixed this one. Full video can be found on @zakabel socials.

Shouts to:

@missangelaricci and @sincerelywilson for backing vocals

@mrbabysweet for visual direction on the day (and capturing the back of my head with utmost vibes)

And thanks to @lukefarnell for assisting duties at @livingston_studios for the session.

Another one!

An absolute privilege and honour to have worked with one of my favourite singer-songwriters. @celeste has gone from strength to strength and this album is an absolute pleasure to listen to!

Shouts to @joshcrockermusic for the production with @gottsstreetpark on Lately and Both Sides of the Moon. Thanks for the opportunity to provide service to the record. 🙏

Shouts to @charliehugall for the fantastic work on Side A. Done the album serious justice! ‘Tonight Tonight’ is a banger 😄

Also @bensbrother1 - When ‘Stop This Flame’ dropped at the beginning of last year, I was blown away. Absolute 🔥

Shouts to Duncan at @atlasartists for starting a journey that will sustain many careers. 🙏

The album reached number 1 in the U.K. just over a month ago AND is also the first female artist debut album to claim that title in over 5 years. An incredible feat and absolutely worth every minute of your listening time. 😄🙏

@sophiemcelligott - love the illustration. Captured the aura beautifully
@elizavetaporodina - there’s an otherworldly presence to your imagery. An essence of 40s yet fundamentally your own style. Bravo 👏

For the nerds; Vocal chain for additional vocal recording on Lately and Both Sides of The Moon // Soundelux 251 > @amsneveltd / @baeaudio 1073 > @uaudio UREI 1176LN (rev.D) > @apogeedigital Elements (AD/DA)

Not often you get the opportunity to record a record at @unionchapeluk let alone with some incredible artists.

Biggups @zakabel and @housegospelchoir you guys absolutely smashed it with this.

@yugyessam on mastering duty 👌

Shoutout to everyone else involved - Jack, Joe, Danielle, Brian, Sophie, Josh @ Halo for last minute interface hire and everyone else that made the day possible.

Taking a classic and bringing it forward to modern day with a poignancy of feeling that yearns for Good Times is a tough task. Yet the collaboration between @zakabel @iammikekintish and @shekukannehmason absolutely nails it effortlessly.

Thanks for the opportunity!

@zakabel - Woman out now!

Had the pleasure of recording 5+ minutes of layered vocal improv that was just too good to not include on the full release (ba bum chika).

Also recorded some lead vocal and bvs and @thedairystudios during turbulent years for me as a sound engineer; reminding me of why i love what i do.

If you haven’t given it a listen, please do. 🙏

Yes yes! This one has been a long time coming. Mix tweak after tweak after tweak and even then the twerking tweaking to make this happen. Glad to say that it’s finally out and creation of the project is a story in itself; worthwhile listening from start to finish.
