We opened Romy and Michele: The Musical last month! It was a dream come true opportunity to design the musical version of one of my favorite films.

Cult classic film ‘Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion’ first hit theaters in 1997. 🪩 Now, the film has been adapted into an Off-Broadway musical starring @karalindsay1 and @laurabellbundy.

Marie Claire spoke with the musical’s costume designer @tinamccartneydesign to learn how she struck the balance between honoring the source material while also making the costumes work for this new incarnation of the story.
