Pals I’ve had a pretty stellar year. Travelled with family and friends, visited 2 new countries, first trip with my cutest little buddy.
Achieved a bunch of professional goals, finally met my coworkers in person and became a co-lead for the EMEA Black ERG.
Created Olori to Lewa and debuted my first act Pretty Brown Skin Girl. Deepened my love of dance with new classes and new friends.

It’s wild because I was so certain my 30s would be boring and “adulty” but honestly every year is better than then last.

Thank you to my family and friends for helping this be a truly spectacular year. I’m soooo excited for what 33 has to offer. by @tinuadeo

I started this year under the veil of austerity, put my passport on ice and told myself I had to pay penance for all my travels the year before. I was to be a Rich Auntie in Vibes only.
Thanks to my amazing friends, made over the past 24 years (unbelievably some actually made in 2024, I swear I don’t like people and then trip and fall and there you all are) and my phenomenal family my life has continued to be overflowing in love and joy.
I’d already had a beautiful year without dusting off my little blue book, becoming an “Auntie” 3 more times and then becoming an actual, legal, 25% of my DNA, Auntie to my perfect nephew Joel; standing up in the weddings of 3 of my closest friends; performing again for the first time in years with the most beautiful people, the list goes on…
Then my parents blessed me with a trip back to Nigeria in December and a Christmas in luxury in Mijas.
I am so overwhelmed by all the love in my life. That you all choose to be spend time and energy pouring your love over me is never ending blessing and I Thank God that I have another year to attempt to show you all how grateful I am for you.

30 years of ME ❤️

I’m not going to write a love story to myself because how I feel about me is no one else’s business 😂. BUT I will take this time to say I that this 30th year on earth has been one of the best of my life. My advice to anyone would be take care of yourself. Put yourself first. I promise you, if you are a good person, taking care of yourself will take care of others in a way more impactful way than ignoring your needs. I’ve learnt in my 30 years that my friends and family get the best from me when I listen to my body, mind and heart and take the time for myself when I need to. Your wants and desires don’t need to make sense to anyone but yourself. I’ve SHARED so much of my joy this year with my loved ones and that’s only possible because I’m gentle with myself. So love yourself as much as I love me and hopefully you too can end a year thinking “I don’t even need to top that, a year half as good as that will end with me smiling” ❤️❤️❤️

30 years of Friends

My family raised me but you all helped shape me. You’ve all brought so much joy into my life. I feel privileged to be able to call you friends. You don’t judge me when I don’t text back, you laugh at my terrible jokes and you never make fun of me for being overdressed. Love you all and am so lucky to have spent nearly 23 forming some of these friendships ❤️❤️❤️

Not all my family is pictured here but that doesn’t make any of them any less valued. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be who I am, if it wasn’t for them. I love you all so much and I’m so blessed to be a part of this amazing family. I have love and support coming from so many directions it’s nearly overwhelming. Easiest way to hide 3 months of growth on braids it everything up with a wrap 🤷🏿‍♀️ Was all dressed up last week to celebrate my mums amazing career and found enough time to be a lil vain and make first TikTok in a year. Hopefully it won’t take me a whole year to make the next one 🙊

Ya girl is a homeowner 💁🏿‍♀️

*disclaimer: I’ve technically been a homeowner since 29 Jun 2021 but honestly was struggling with my flat feeling a ✨home✨.

I didn’t move in until 3 weeks after purchase, was surprised by a shower that didn’t turn on, radiators that need replacing and a 4 month wait for my sofas. I spent most of my weekends back in Sheffield as that’s where I’d left the majority of my love ones and when I was home I was hyper focused on what wasn’t quite right.

It’s only now, that I’ve spent a weekend painting my bathrooms to make them my own, sourced a plumber to fix and change what I need, and FINALLY got my sofas, that I can take a minute to feel properly proud of myself.

I am so BLESSED to have had the support that I do from my parents and my brother. I genuinely would not be sat typing this in my own home if it wasn’t for them. This world is not set up for your average single woman of 28 to own a home. This would not have happened if I didn’t specifically get a promotion/transfer and move home 3 months before a global pandemic that drastically decreased my outgoings. So I don’t want anyone to read this with a measuring stick because the only person we can measure up against is ourselves.

I am immensely proud of what I have achieved this year. My Health Sciences BSc (Hons), my very first home and an overall realisation that I LIKE WHO I AM.

So for anyone reading this that wants a new goal I’d say make it that. Get to know yourself. Odds are if you took the time to read this entire post you’re a pretty awesome human being too 😘

And most importantly: Thank you Mum, thank you Dad, thank you Dolapo and Thank you God 🖤🖤🖤
