You’ve been out there enrolling your friends, whānau and communities, and it’s working! Over 30,000 people enrolled to vote in September. That’s more than August, and even better, the majority of them were 18-24! 🗳️

There are now only 24 days left for people to enrol or update their details. 2️⃣4️⃣

Need an extra push to do it now? If you enrol in the next couple days (before October 4), you’ll get an EasyVote card. You don’t need an EasyVote card to vote, but like it says in the name, it’ll make voting a little easier. ✅

And lastly a reminder e te whānau:
1. Enrol. Get your people enrolled by midnight 25th October.
2. Plan. Make a plan with them to vote early, and help them find a voting place.
3. Vote. Support them to vote from 26th October. Check in with them until they’ve voted.

Tiriti Action Group collaborated with the youth wing of the Wellington Tamil community to get their people enrolled and ready to vote in the 2026 election.

We had a great time attending their fundraiser for Nepalese people impacted by climate change fuelled catastrophe.

Many people enrolled, some who hadn’t known they were eligible! We had great conversations about Tamil history, all the languages spoken in India and the importance of exercising our democratic right to vote, whichever country we are in.

Here in Pōneke, the Chilean community used our voter enrolment stall kits get people signed up and voting for Te Tiriti at their Chilean independence day events. You can borrow one of our stall kits or volunteer at any number of great community events happening right up until 25 October (the last day for enrolment).

Many of us are deeply concerned about the decisions made by the current government and the effects those decisions are having on our nation. This election is our time to be heard.

We are super excited to launch Te Wero Pōti - the Great Vote Challenge - a free digital app and printed star chart to get all our whānau and friends voting.

This election is critical. In 2023 more than 1 million of us didn’t vote and now the National-led coalition Government is making it harder – you can no longer enroll to vote 13 days before the election.

Saturday, 29 August: Strathmore Park enrolment drive with Unions Wellington
Unions Wellington has been doing a great job getting out the vote with door knocking. Join them in Strathmore Park this Saturday 1pm-4pm.
