She told me she’d go full-time in 6 months. After 3 sessions, she handed in her resignation. When Tix and I started, she was teaching a job she’d stopped loving years ago and building her business in the gaps around it. 3 and a half years of that, with a 5-year-old at home. She’d had acne since her teens and never grew out of it. She’d convinced herself there wasn’t a place for her in an industry full of people who looked nothing like her, so she stopped putting herself forward. She avoided every single event last December because she didn’t believe she belonged in those rooms. She felt inferior about 75% of the time. Daily. So we didn’t start with content. We went back to the moments where she learned to make herself small, and we re-authored them. The leap was never a business decision. It was a belief one. She’s 38. She runs her business full-time now. She shows her real skin, unfiltered, and gets messages from women thanking her for it. She’s become the representation she never had.
