My wife and I ran the Race Half Marathon hosted in Atlanta yesterday and it was such a great experience! Why we picked the most challenging half marathon course in the country? We ran the 5k here and fell in love with the race experience last year so we decided to commit to the half this year. The run culture here is just so awesome and all the people here make you fell like they've know you their whole life. They treat with warm welcomes, good tidings and just a lot of positive energy.

We accomplished our goals of getting it done in under 3 hours (2:30 for me and 2:42 for Kanika) and we are super proud and humbled by this experience. We've already signed up for next year.

I got to meet a lot of the local legends this year that I've been following like @polizzy (who is an awesome individual and runner) @inspiredbytheo (super cool and fast runner that I admire) and @worktraintravel (he's just on another level and so ATL). You all have inspired me and helped me reach my goal. Thank you for being super human examples and being so cool in person. Special shout out to my run coach @warrior.running for guiding me through this running thing and getting me ready for my first half. You were a tremendous inspiration and my source of truth in this process. You are the best and you have my undying gratitude. Thank you so much.

Most importantly, thank you to my darling wife @kjeffhtx . She has been my biggest cheerleader and a huge inspiration for me in my run journey. Without her, none of this would be possible. I love you so much.

I love you Atlanta. Thank you for this experience and you will always and forever be my first. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @tjeffhtx

My first podium race in the Run Houston U of H 5K! I won 3rd place in my age group and I am so proud. It was a good race for me but I never expected to podium. I'm super happy about it and I'm inspired to achieve more. It's been an interesting journey, from being injured last year to therapy to getting a third place in a race. I'm grateful for it all.

Thank you @kjeffhtx for always believing in me and encouraging me to do more and be better at this thing and all thing. I love you so much. You've been my partner in this all along.

Thank you Coach @warrior.running for working with me and getting me further than I asked to be. taken in University of Houston by @tjeffhtx

I had the opportunity to run the Mag Mile 5K in Chicago and it was a blast. My honey and I did well, both achieving PRs. It was a good race with beautiful weather. I guess all that training in the heat really pays off.

I do love Chicago. The food. The architecture. I always hate to leave and can't wait to go back. Chicago owes me nothing. taken in Magnificent Mile, Chicago by @tjeffhtx
