My cousin's pop up is POPPING UP! This beauty has been feeding our family her incredible desserts since she was a literal little girl. How lucky you are that we didn't keep her all to ourselves all these years. by @tleeandnem

My director cup is full. Tonight is OPENING NIGHT.

I was gifted the glorious Christina Acosta Robinson & @brennanstylez as Billie & Jimmy to helm my first production of #ladydayatemersonsbarandgrill
Directing this masterpiece after 10 productions wearing the gardenia is joyfully full circle. And doing it with the support and artistry of @shadowlandstages has been a dream.

People keep asking am I buzzing, am I excited, am I nervous. The answer is I AM AT PEACE and if you know the year I've had you'll understand how much I have needed that feeling. Thank you to everyone involved in this beautiful production, most especially to Christina. You are radiant.

I am so proud of what we ALL created together IN PEACE. 🙏🏽 Full credits coming with production photos. 😉

Y'all better get to Ellenville and allow these geniuses serve you some high art.

I have been really REALLY quiet.

Life's platter has been filled with overwhelming servings of shit between bites of perfection... Keeping up has been all I've had strength for. The shit keeps coming BUT...

BUT

BUT...the opportunity to direct THIS show at THIS time with THIS human is proof of God's love for me. It's proof that I was right to require more for my life. It's proof that when one door closes, the doors that open reveal more than we could ever wish for. It's proof that I am exactly where I'm meant to be.

Next week we'll open #ladydayatemersonsbarandgrill
@shadowlandstages with the glorious @robinsonkenchristina & @brennanstylez

I AM OVERJOYED. Y'all better get up to Ellenville & get this good good. taken in Ellenville, New York by @tleeandnem

Blessed to be on this journey. My character gets her freedom in this moment while I am getting mine. I am grateful to be free in my soul, to know who I am and to give her the life she deserves. There will always be those willing to shackle your spirit, to deny your humanity, to betray your divine power and keep your freedom from you through lies & omission but, likewise, there will always be those to pray with you, for you and over you, and to shout as you toil "BLACK GIRL...YOU ARE FREE!" Find your "freedom people". Happy Juneteenth, everyone. taken in Alabama Shakespeare Festival by @tleeandnem

Always a pleasure teaming up with my @alabamashakespeare castmate, @ovation_communication colleague, and fabulous friend, @krystel.lucas to put some good on the peeps.

Today it was promoting #chickenandbiscuits on @wsfa12news
in Montgomery where we get to bring a whole lotta love, life & laughter to their audiences.

This fall it will be getting rocket scientists and engineers on the good foot as effective communicators and strong, impactful leaders.

And who knows what's in store next; relishing the moment we're in right now. by @tleeandnem

Opening night at @alabamashakespeare

This is my 4th opening night of 2026. I am feeling such gratitude for the companies I've been blessed to work with this year. Stellar humans and gorgeous artists - this group is no exception. When I think back on this time in my life, with all that has and is happening right now, I will mostly remember the gift of my career and the people who champion it. This cast has been a joy to laugh with and a balm to my spirit. God is so good.

Come see #ChickenandBiscuits thru June 21st.

So elated that @laionamichelle came out to support and for this time together in Montgomery to reconnect.

Okay...life is happening. Gotta go!! taken in Montgomery, Alabama by @tleeandnem
