Lucy, what an honor to share your one wild and precious life.

My sweet girl Lucy passed peacefully on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 13 years and 5 months old.

I’m heartbroken and will miss her for the rest of my life.

I find some comfort knowing that we had a peaceful and pleasant final day together and a beautiful ceremony to say goodbye.

Words cannot begin to express how much Lucy impacted my life and thousands others over the past 13 years. We’re so blessed to have had each other.

I know Lucy is swimming in a beautiful crystal clear, and very cold, lake somewhere, finding the best snacks and looking down on me and Burt thinking that we’re going to get lost without her at the front of the pack.

Thank you for loving my dog. 💗

When I got the job at @qvc many people told me I had to meet @chipdreamsofbirds… who is actually a lovely and beautiful person named Liz McCraw! 🐾

If I want to talk about crazy dog lady things, I know Liz will listen and have great things to share! Her dog Lucy has my whole heart and I love watching how devoted Liz and her husband are to making Lucy’s golden years the best they can be.

Liz is also a dedicated volunteer! And I found out that she got into dog rescue transport thanks to another QVC guest Marianne Ahern of @evelynbobbie 🐶

It’s time to get spooky, scary and adorable with your doggy Halloween costumes! One of my favorite things to do is come up with group costumes for me and my dogs.

These are mostly DIY in some way, it just takes a little creativity and planning.

Many people have used my dog costume ideas to win costume contests at Halloween parades and parties… which one of these takes first place for you? 🎃👻 by @tmistick

If I invite you to meet up and say “wear shoes that can get muddy”… you’re in for a good time! 🐄

When I saw Cows & Coffee @rosebridgefarmsanctuary is a thing I knew just who to invite! Fellow pet expert (and my fave author) @victoria_schade 🐾

Baby cows, baby goats, baby kitties, and two very tall sheep gave us all the cuddles and a few nibbles 🐐

If you’re in eastern PA, I highly recommend doing this someday! It was a great way to get my animal and friend fix this week 🥰

Lucy and Burt spent many hours listening to Dolly Parton with me. In the car on road trips, in the house while I worked, in our backyard while they ate Toppls.

Like Dolly, my labs ways inspire me to be kind, dream big and to unapologetically yourself!

I hope she gets to meet Burt and Lucy on the other side 🌈 by @tmistick

Back at it! 🐾 Shelter Skip Day with the goodest boy Rocky who’s available for adoption @brandywinespca.

He was soooooo good at open streets, hanging out while Michael and I had lunch, then a walk around town and to the park. He has great leash skills and was totally unbothered by kids, bikes, dogs, trucks, etc.

Dozens of people asked me what kind of dog he is! My best guest is a Shepherd mix 🐕

After walking around, Rocky came home to cool off and relax on the couch where he insisted on constant cuddles. He is such a cuddly, silly, sweet boy!

Of course I couldn’t send him off without a @pawzndogz snuffle mat sesh. He loved it!

Adopt Rocky today! He’s available at the @brandywinespca West Chester, PA campus 🐾

I’ve shared a lot of really exciting things this year because a lot of really exciting things HAVE happened.

But I’ve also been grieving, adjusting to a new job, a new city, a new life, and generally figuring shit out as I go. 🫠

I know we’ve all had things that didn’t go as planned. So why not embrace real life? The parts that rock, the parts that suck, and the parts that aren’t even very memorable.

It’s all part of the journey, so we might as well embrace it! Thank you for being here and being a part of my journey 😘 by @tmistick
