Words can’t express how full my heart feels after the last two weeks. We filled our days with hikes, kayaking alongside seals, island lobster bakes, Rum Island shenanigans, endless laughter and sunsets from the our deck every night with my favorite people in my favorite place. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Eight years ago we pulled out of the driveway with an Airstream, a loose plan, and a lot of curiosity about what life on the road might look like.

Since then we’ve crossed the United States more times than we can count. We’ve chased seasons, boondocked in places we never imagined, and watched the country roll by mile after mile through the windshield.

It hasn’t always been smooth pavement. There have been broken hitches, more scratches and bumps than we could ever count, broken bones, job loss, and personal loss. Life doesn’t stop just because you’re traveling. It just unfolds in different places.

But there have also been incredible highs. New friends in unexpected places. Best friends made around campfires. Homes built and rented out from afar. Countless sunrises, national parks, and quiet mornings with coffee outside the trailer door.

Eight years later, one thing remains the same.

Our little silver home that keeps carrying us forward.

Happy nomadiversary to us.

Out with the old and in with the new.
Maine has been our anchor for the past eight years, and today we turned the page. We sold our first place and stepped into a home that feels like the next chapter. Ocean views in the morning, loons calling across the water, and evenings wrapped in west-facing sunsets. We’re definitely not done traveling in the Airstream, but it feels good to have a place that’s more “us” to come back to whenever we want a break from the road.
