Imagine you’re in the thick of the fourth trimester, your body is healing and your baby is growing, at the exact same time, and somehow no one ever talks about those two things together… You get pelvic floor advice in one place and baby milestone content in another while you’re left trying to understand and figure out how/when to do both… usually at 2am with a newborn on your chest and spit up on your clothes 🍼

That’s the gap that Mama + Me: The First Weeks Home was built to close ✨

Eight weeks of guided videos that pair your recovery with your baby’s development, so you’re never choosing between taking care of yourself and showing up for them. Go at your own pace, whenever you need it most.

You don’t need more conflicting advice. You need a plan that was built for exactly where you are!

Launching July 1st 🚀

💛 Waitlist is open! See the link in bio for early access + launch pricing
💛 Know a mama-to-be? Tag her below! This is the kind of thing you wish someone had handed you.

Somehow it has ONE WHOLE YEAR since I took a huge leap of faith with a whole lot of courage and support from my family to start my own business… HOW?! 🥹 I also just realized that in that whole year, I’ve never really introduced myself outside of being a business owner, pediatric PT, and mom 😅I recently saw another provider share a post like this and genuinely loved getting to know the person behind the page a little more.

So hi! I’m Alyssa, and here are a few completely random things that make me, me because there’s a lot more going on over here than milestones, mom life, and pediatric PT 💗

Oh yeah… we are a dirt bike loving, outdoor type of family but I always joke that I stick to inside work (I’ll do the dishes any day over mowing the lawn 😅)

Let me if we have anything in common because I KNOW there have to be some fellow Disney-loving, pop-punk-listening, Dr. Pepper people here and I love making new friends 🥰 taken in Together in Motion Pediatric Physical Therapy by @togetherinmotionpt

I can only imagine what our neighbors think happens at our house on a regular basis 😂 The kids think we’re just running around being silly, meanwhile my pediatric PT brain is finding about 47 different ways to work on strength, balance, coordination, and body awareness without anyone even realizing it while I was also getting in a little movement myself 😍

But THIS is what I love about play! Kids don’t need fancy equipment or structured exercises to build strength and develop new skills. So much of it can happen through everyday movement and just having fun together!

Okay, I want to know what your PT eyes (or parent eyes 👀) caught! What’s one muscle group or developmental skill you spotted us working on?

Wrong answers welcome too because honestly, I’d love to know what this looks like from the neighbor’s perspective 😂👇

I wish more parents knew that pediatric physical therapy doesn’t have to be as complicated as we’ve made it seem 🤍 You don’t have to wait until your child is significantly delayed. You don’t always have to commit to months of appointments, and you definitely don’t need to have all the answers before reaching out. It’s about a place to go and seeing someone who looks at the whole picture while meeting you, your child, and your family where you are at in that exact moment ✨

Sometimes it’s a few visits or it’s a little guidance and some changes to everyday play. Sometimes it’s more support over time. Every child is different, and that’s exactly how their PT should be, too.

Whether you’re noticing toe walking, frequent falls, difficulty keeping up with friends, concerns about milestones, or just something about the way your child moves that has you wondering… those questions are worth asking.

I’m Dr. Alyssa, a pediatric physical therapist serving St. Louis, South County, Arnold, and surrounding areas in Missouri, and I’d love to help you connect the dots ♥️

If you’ve been wondering whether your child could benefit from PT, send me a message. We can talk through your concerns and figure out a good place to start 👏

Over an hour trying to breastfeed, triple feeding, 15+ different bottle nipples, all while with an upset baby and a mama who had seen countless providers but STILL didn’t have answers… Her baby preferred one side, but even that side was a struggle 💔That is until they came to work with Dr Alyssa ♥️

We looked at how his neck and body were moving and how that might be affecting his ability to feed. A few months later? Exclusively breastfeeding, on BOTH sides, without any tears 🥹

Sometimes the missing piece isn’t about feeding itself, but how your baby’s body moves and that’s where a lot of people and even providers miss the opportunity to help mama’s and babies struggling to feed!

If you’re in St. Louis or the surrounding areas and reading this thinking, “this sounds like my baby,” let’s talk! I’d love to help you figure out what might be going on and whether pediatric PT could help. 🤍

We’re so excited to offer something a little different! 💚

Dr. Becca, OT with Hand in Hand Therapy, and Dr. Alyssa, PT with @togetherinmotionpt, are teaming up to provide joint OT & PT evaluations!

That means 2 experts, 1 evaluation, and a collaborative plan of care — all for $200 total (a $150 savings!).

This is a great option for families who have questions about development, movement, sensory needs, coordination, or just want a more comprehensive look at how their child is doing.

We love getting to collaborate and look at the whole child together! ❤️

📩 Reach out to either of us to learn more or schedule your joint evaluation!

We’re told from day one how important tummy time is… but who actually teaches us HOW to do it?! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference in helping your baby feel comfortable and actually use the muscles we want them to! Like tucking their elbows in under their shoulders 👏

If your baby is still struggling after trying this trick out a few times, consistently favors one side (aka immediately rolls when on their tummy), keeps their arms stuck back like their super man flying, or has difficulty lifting their head, it might be time for a pediatric PT to take a closer look. 🤍

Sometimes babies don’t hate tummy time… they just need a little help figuring out how to do it 💗

Save this to try during your next tummy time session, and tell me: what’s been the hardest part of tummy time with your baby?!

If you ever heard “pediatric pelvic floor PT” and wondered what tools we use… I’d bet it’s very different than most people imagine 😲

😮‍💨 Bubbles and games for breathing, 🏃‍♀️ activities for core strength and coordination, 🚽visuals to help kids understand what their body is telling them, 🧰 tools to help their body move easily, and 🎉 movement to work on how their core, diaphragm, and pelvic floor work together.
Not seen is talking and working through the little patterns happening throughout their day… how they sit, breathe, move, poop, pee, eat, drink, and respond to their body’s signals 💩

Because treating the pelvic floor isn’t just about the pelvic floor.

It’s helping the whole body work together so everyday things like going to the bathroom can feel a whole lot easier! And yes, sometimes my treatment supplies look more like I’m headed to preschool than PT 😂

Which of these made you go, “wait… what does THAT have to do with the pelvic floor?” Tell me below and I’ll explain!

Postpartum was never supposed to be about getting your old body back… You’re learning your new body while learning this brand new little person at the exact same time, it’s A LOT!

It’s about time that we give mom’s more support for both rather than just expecting them to figure it out on their own… That’s why we created Mama + Me: The First Weeks Home online course 🤍

Movement for you. Developmental play for baby. Connection for both.

All from home, whenever you’re ready! Want to know more? Visit the link the bio or check out @mamaandme_thefirstweekshome

Send this to a mama who deserves to feel supported in her postpartum journey too🤍

Watching my kids help me decorate the clinic this week has had me thinking about how much this little business really is a part of our family 💗

There are emails answered during nap time, toys cleaned after bedtime, ideas typed into my phone while holding a baby, videos sent to families for demonstrations with the cutest models and even tiny Halloween decorators 🎃 All of those little pieces have built something that I care about SO much, Together In Motion Therapy!

I get to know your families. I get to help your kids do things that matter to them. I get to create the kind of space I want them to walk into and feel like it was made for them.

You choosing me is what lets me keep doing that! There are a lot of places you could take your kids. The fact that you trust this little business I’ve built with mine to care for yours is never lost on me.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you🤍 Thank you for booking with me, telling your friends about me, sharing or interacting with my posts, tagging me when you see a parent looking for help, showing up to my classes and events, and most importantly, trusting me with your kids. Every single one of those little things helps this business continue to grow, and I notice and appreciate it more than you know 🫶

It’s usually not ONE weird little thing that catches my attention… it’s when I start seeing a pattern that I really 👀👀👀

Maybe they always lean on the table… and they use their hands to get up from the floor AND they trip more when they try to run faster AND they always choose the same leg.

One or two of these things by themselves? Usually not something I want you stressing over but worth taking note of. Toddlers move in all kinds of weird ways while they’re figuring out their bodies.

So when we start putting multiple little pieces together, THAT’S when my pediatric PT brain gets curious. Because sometimes those seemingly unrelated things are all pointing us toward the same underlying challenge with strength, mobility, balance, coordination, or endurance.

The goal isn’t to pick apart every little thing your toddler does. It’s to notice the patterns!

Did any of these make you go “wait… mine does that”? Remember, we’re looking for patterns, not one little thing. Tell me which one surprised you most below! 👇
