What do collectives need to move together? We want to discuss what it means to work collectively — from methodologies for collective making, questioning authorship, to building alternative care structures, and figuring out how to sustain ourselves. How can we expand our collective bodies to create a bigger affective net in The Hague and surroundings?

This fall, join us in The Hague for a two-day gathering of collectives! From the 30 to the 31 October, we will come together (together) in @destadswacht for our very first edition of “Collecting Collectives”.

This open call is addressed to collectives of all disciplines in and around The Hague. If you have any questions, send us a message here or via email to hello@togethertogether.space
To respond to this open call, fill out the form (link in bio) by Wednesday, 30 September.

In Jun 2026 we had the chance to create this site sensitive work as a homage to coastal fishing and to the fish living in the estuarial waters of Ummanz, in the Rügen Island of northern Germany. The work was meaningfully commissioned by a group of local citizens. Through it I renewed my commitment to create art that addresses all beings going beyond western mono- naturalist understandings. We worked together with a great and large team of people, accompanied and supported by a fantastically engaged local mediator and with an artist in the coordination. It was intense, it was a lot of work and it was worth the efforts. Political art must not necessarily be shocking nor about spectacles and big gestures but it can be subtle, enacting non human animals and can be fine, delicate and radically tender. Why to break something in art when the world is already broken? Art be for me like a thread to mend the relations that have been broken. To strengthen ourselves together. To bloom together through art. Performers: TogetherTogether Collective, Ron Alonso Berger, Jee Chan, Angela Muñoz Martinez, members of Perform[D]ance Stralsund. Integral design: Michel Jiménez
Assistant Choreographer: Federico Protto
Costumes: Sinon Quilla, and Federico Protto. Mediator: Susanne Burmester
Local Project Lead: Kunstverein Rügen e. V. / Circus Eins Projekte
Production: Fortuna – Verein zur Förderung nachhaltiger Kunst
Head of Production/Technical Lead: Michel Jimenez
Coordination: Federico Protto (Vienna), Lisa Marie Steude (Ummanz).

During the third Library Session at Stroom on 8 June, we invited artists based in The Hague to suspend time and discuss methodologies for collective making.

How can collective imagination help us rethink the way we create, work, and live together?

Take a look at some of the books we enjoyed from the library and get inspired too.

Time is running, people are busy and absorbed in their own lives. What does it take to disrupt this flow? Las year, during the research of our graduation project, we went into public space to explore the floating sensation of Suspension. Five bodies slowed down and allowed space to enter time. Moving collectively created a crack in the monotony of the everyday, a microdisruption of public order that we started to call “suspension intervention.”

Looking back, these were our first daring steps towards performance and audience interaction, using public space as our stage. We were shy, but bringing intimacy into the open sparked conversations about how a collective body — while dreaming of a different world — needs to be anchored in the context it moves in. by @togethertogether.collective

TogetherTogether Collective presents “At our own risk”, a participatory performance and installation for playful collective learning.

Set in a playground of interconnected play objects, this work aims at making interdependence tangible – physically, visually and socially. By encouraging spontaneous interaction between strangers, “At our own risk” transforms the art gallery into a participatory learning site that fosters joyful encounters and an embodied understanding of social interdependence.

📍Join us at @expobart
📆 03 April 2026 to climb, spin, bounce, swing, and fall.

Collective Rest as Resistance: Gathering by TogetherTogether Collective

Collectively resting can be a political act of resistance. We invite you to slow down and gather to suspend the individualistic productivism of our society by interrupting the rhythms of extraction and hyper-productivity that shape our everyday lives. Let us explore what it means to build a collective body, a body that listens, dreams, and resists through rest. We’ll co-create a space forlying down, (day)dreaming, collective storytelling, and gentle disruption. Let's sense, connect, and become a bigger body of rest.

We —Juliana Acero, Stefano Cattani, Carmen Draxler, Laura Flethe and Rita Gaspar —are TogetherTogether, a research-based artistic collective based in The Hague, that works on the intersection of visual storytelling, performance, scenography and social work. We are five international artists driven by the need to resist the alienation of living in an individualistic society by growing a collective artistic practice. Through gatherings, performances, and installations, we create spaces for collective care and counter-narratives that spark hope in a paranoiac world.
