Back with some mental skills insights 💪

I had the pleasure of interviewing @toll18 about mental skills and how he manages his nerves so succesfully: with the Wim Hof Method!

The method combines breathwork, cold exposure, and mindset. What’s happening physiologically?
• The breathing shifts O₂ and CO₂ levels → activating a controlled stress response.
• Cold exposure activates the sympathetic nervous system.
• Staying calm in the cold trains faster parasympathetic recovery.

In short: you create short, intentional stress to train better regulation. Research shows trained practitioners can even influence stress hormones and inflammatory responses!

Want to know more how to regulate youe nervous system and create an individual training plan? DM me!

By the way: Huge respect to Team Canada 🇨🇦
Winning all their games except one and finishing 5th after a final worthy game against the USA. I can't wait to follow this team for whats to come!

This week’s Conversational Pace 🏃‍♂️ run is with @toly.ca !

At face value, Toly is a great realtor/dog dad, but spend even five minutes with him, and you’ll quickly realize that everyone knows this guy. And his lore? Absolutely CRAZY! From fleeing USSR to escape mobsters all whilst starring in Russia’s version of The Bachelor, to casually playing for Team Canada in ultimate frisbee. Such a fun chat :) #vancouver #run #runcommunity #runningcommunity #runninglife by @toll18
