Friends, I had a special experience last week chasing Steelhead at Lower Dean Lodge in B.C. Canada. Truly an amazing place. If you ever get the chance to go, DO NOT MISS IT‼️ Special thanks to the lodge staff and guides, @sageflyfish @rioproducts @redingtongear @flyfishfood and the spey guru @tom.larimer 🙌. Fish were caught, incredible meals were served, scenery was admired, rapids were tamed, heli-rides were enjoyed, and I was able to meet great people who share a passion for angling, including the talented musician Huey Lewis. The heart of rock and roll is still beating, and the heart of fly fishing is pure and pumping 💪💥 by @tom.larimer

RUNNIN’ DOWN A DREAM. Every time I fish in BC I’m awestruck by its wildness and beauty. Headed back to wonderland. I first fished the Dean in 2002 and was fortunate enough to spend a fair amount of time chasing her magical steelhead over the years. Last summer I had the opportunity to chase Togiak River king salmon with @krummgeorge from @fishalaskamagazine -So good to swing for kings with two-handers again! I’ve missed this… It’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to chase kings with two-handers in western Alaska. When my friend @krummgeorge from @fishalaskamagazine asked if I had any interest in fishing at @togiak_river_lodge in Bristol Bay, I was beyond stoked.

The Togiak swing fishing did not disappoint. Despite some high + cold water conditions, big rides were had, carbon fiber was tested, and more than a few chromers were caught. It’s an amazing river and I can’t wait to go back! -More so, the crew @togiak_river_lodge was awesome! I left the tundra with some wonderful new friends and my anadromous cup full.

Hey friends! I’m selling my 10’ Sotar ST. The boat is in great condition and has always been stored inflated and under cover. It’s an awesome raft for smaller rivers, but can handle some pretty serious white water. It also rolls up into a small raft bag (included) if you’re looking to helicopter into remote steelhead rivers. I have it set up with a light fishing frame, but it comes with extra cross bars/straps for a dry box (included) and 35 qt cooler, which is perfect for multi-day use. This boat is loaded with features and extras! The calkins trailer (wood deck added aftermarket) is included but needs some love. It was a trade from a friend and a project I never got around to. It does have a new hitch and jack. I’m including it as FREE as it doesn’t have a title. I live is White Salmon, WA -Boat is going on Portland Craigslist later this week, but I thought I’d put it out to my peeps first.
