Sep 30 comes early this month. SoundCloud link in bio.

Been playing and listening and learning a lot – so much so that this mix came together pretty naturally in a couple sessions. Feels like a slight deviation from my usual sound, but maybe that’s just in my head. Swipe for track list. 👀

Gonna spend the next little while focusing on organizing my music and experimenting/jamming with friends. Hmu to get a session going. Also I’m feeling ready to take on some more gigs – DM, text, call, etc. by @tom_abrams

This past Saturday I was given an opportunity to play a gig on short notice. The text came in, and I stared at it for about ten minutes. Then another: “Tim, what do you think?” I think I was scared lol, but couldn’t say that. So I said yes.

I’d been practicing a lot lately, so had a good idea how I would run the first 30-60 min. From there I’d have to wing it - which is kinda the point, right? Read the room, play what you’d want to hear if you were dancing. Something like that.

There’s more to the story (there always is), but three hours came and went in an instant. I felt vaguely good about my set, went to a friend’s place to wind down, and then home to bed.

The end.

JK, we recorded the set, and I have so many thoughts about it, but this post is long enough. TL;DR, if you want a glimpse into where I’m at with DJing, the link is in my bio. Sooooo much gratitude to @tomdeblase and my friends at @florabarrochester thank you thank you thank you, xoxo ❤️ by @tom_abrams

“Are you gonna make another mix?” 🙃 Hi, Hello, It’s been a min, focusing on other projects, work, etc., but I’m back. Most of these are just my fav tracks rn, decided to do a list cus you should buy music and play it out, and if you play one of these and I’m on the dance floor I’ll 💁🏻‍♂️💃🏼

I was honored to close out the first @rendezvous.roc queer beach party of the season. It was a blur, but remember showing up to a near shoulder to shoulder beach filled with friendly, familiar and new faces. And getting to meet some of my fav local DJs. And then getting thrown on the decks to close out as the sun was setting and the kids were packing up. But some stuck around. A few DJ mentors approached the booth and hyped me up, and my friends stuck around and danced. 😌 Anyway, recording link in bio 💁🏻‍♂️ by @tom_abrams

A couple weeks ago I played my first legit gig opening for Circle Back. It was fun and terrifying and super affirming, so I guess I should post about it. I had a whole thing written about the experience, but gonna keep it brief here. I’m not a very animated DJ, so there’s not much exciting video content to share. But I’m proud of my set, the crowd I pulled, and the joy I think I brought to the space.

The recording is in my bio. Lots of 80s/90s covers, house, acid weirdo shit, etc. just some of my favorite music rn. Check it out. 🙂

Huge thanks to my friends at @circlebackroc and @florabarrochester for encouraging me to get into it. And to those who showed up and danced and said nice things to me… xoxo 😘 by @tom_abrams

About a week late on this one, but who cares? This is a special one, at least to me. Some tracks bring me back to my youth. Old and new friendships. Growth and Springtime. Maybe it makes sense to you, or maybe it’s just a mashup of fun songs :) Link in my bio.

Big shout out to all the friends who’ve listened, who’ve helped me get this far, let me hop on at afters or during their sets, met up on Sundays, and/or goofed off with me chatting about music til 7am. by @tom_abrams

Another month, another mix. Big thanks to all the friends who’ve encouraged, let me pick their brains, and allowed me to get silly on their decks late into the night/morning. Trying to find a balance between fun and serious, and I think I’m figuring it out? Anyway, link in the bio. 👀 by @tom_abrams

Started learning to mix music a couple months ago, and been obsessed ever since. There’s a much longer story there, but some weeks ago close friends heeded the call and lent me the equipment and encouragement to “get into it”. They know who they are. Anyway, I recorded a mix last night, and the link is in my bio. 👀 by @tom_abrams
