52nd Half Marathon of the Year – Back to the Summit of Sněžka 🏔️

They say an experience doesn’t have to be pleasant — it just has to be intense enough. And that’s absolutely true. 🫣

For the third day in a row, I ran a half marathon from Pec pod Sněžkou to the summit of our highest mountain, Sněžka (1,603 m above sea level). This time, almost the entire run was in a relentless downpour, and I crossed the finish line completely soaked. 🌧️

Now I’m hoping to take at least a two-week break from Sněžka… at least until Ještěd calls me again in a year’s time. ⛰️🏔️

Pardubický vinařský půlmaraton - 1:24:20 🚀
Můj třetí nejrychlejší půlmaratonský čas. 🥉
117. místo z 1606 běžců 🏃🏻

Jestli také správně počítám, tak to byl 30. letošní půlmaraton, 110. od 1.1.2025, 180. od 1.1.2024 a 240. od 1.1.2023 🏃🏻

Podmínky nebyly vůbec špatné, ale chvilkama bylo celkem vedro, a prakticky celý závod protivítr ze všech stran ☀️💨

107 km ultramarathon from Ještěd (1,012 m a.s.l.) to our highest mountain, Sněžka (1,603 m a.s.l.). ⛰️🏔️🫶🏻

Today was an incredibly tough day. After a five-hour train journey to Liberec and only two hours of sleep, I set off from the summit of Ještěd at exactly midnight. 🌓

I climbed over 3,500 metres of elevation gain across very demanding terrain. This is now the longest route I’ve ever run. 🏃🏻

An all-day mountain hike from Pec pod Sněžkou to the TV transmitter on Černá hora. My legs were already a little tired, but they still managed one more run up to Sněžka 🏔️

After a full day of hiking and yesterday’s run, my legs were feeling a bit tired, but the experience was once again absolutely worth it. 🌄

Ahoj všem 👋

🙏 Děkuji Vendule Vlasové a Kláře Jansové za rychlý onboarding do Rozběháme Česko a pomoc s rozjezdem Rozběháme Poličku.

🏃‍♂️ Pro ty, kdo mě neznají: jmenuji se Tomáš, je mi 35 let a pracuji jako manažer týmu programátorů ve Sportisimu. S během jsem začal 2. 8. 2011, abych během vysokoškolských let alespoň částečně vykompenzoval dlouhé hodiny sezení u počítače. Poslední tři roky trénuji systematicky, především na silniční půlmaratony a maratony.

🗓️ V rámci této skupiny budu jednou za 14 dní organizovat výběhy pro veřejnost. Ze začátku půjde o trasy kolem 5–6 km v tempu, které zvládnou i začátečníci (cca 6:00–8:00 min/km). Po krátkém rozklusu (1–2 km) si společně dáme běžeckou abecedu (jednoduché cviky na zlepšení techniky) a poté budeme pokračovat výklusem (3–4 km).

📢 Výběhy budu oznamovat alespoň týden dopředu a podle zájmu případně upravím plán. Do budoucna jsou v plánu i delší běhy pro pokročilejší.
