Animals Over the years, I’ve found myself returning to a hand full subjects/topics and animals have slowly become one of them. Something I keep observing, photographing and returning to from different perspectives. I have some long-term projects in mind that are still unfolding. Until then, just sharing a few recent encounters that I made 1) Luxembourg, Luxembourg (2026) 2) + 4) Copenhagen, Denmark (2026) 3) Odense, Denmark (2026) 5) Maastricht, the Netherlands (2025) #streetphotographersfdn #animals #street_macadam #raw_animals #street_avengers by @tomherz_

The other day, I was just walking around my neighborhood when I suddenly spotted some random items on top of a few containers that people must have left behind. I positioned myself in line with the clouds and waited to capture the passing by car. After I took three shots, an older couple hesitantly approached me, confused about why I was standing behind a container. They thought I was doing something illegal and were ready to call the police. I explained my photo idea to them, we laughed, had a great discussion and I showed them the pictures. We all agreed that this one was the best out of the three I had taken and then we went our separate ways. The next day, I drove by the containers and all the items were gone. Whenever I revisit that place, I always think about this funny moment. #streetphotographersfdn #streetstorytelling #streetphotographers #street_macadam #streetleaks by @tomherz_

When we think about markets in Luxembourg City, most people immediately think of the „Stater Maart“.   Having rarely visited markets in recent years and mostly associating them with childhood memories of sunny summer days spent together with his family, street photographer Tom Herz decided to turn his lens toward this topic and document the market culture of Luxembourg City during its annual season from March to November.   👉 watch the complete photo series on our website     #photography #markets #luxembourg #city #culture by @tomherz_

Learning to fly with tired wings. The mind clings to the uncertain future, but birds let it go, careless and clear. Birds don’t rehearse tomorrow. They simply fly. Maybe we are meant to learn that too. 1) Hamburg (Germany), 2024 2) Zurich (Switzerland), 2025 3) Maastricht (Netherlands), 2023 4) Malmö (Sweden), 2024 #streetphotographers #street_storytelling #street_me_up #birds #shinyhappystreet by @tomherz_
