Doodles across Seattle 🍦

Took my smallest sketchook with me all over Seattle and got some drawings in ✍️
Exploring the city was a ton of fun with my friends I’d love to do it all over again and catch a glimpse of it all in my sketchbook!!

The Spirits at Fort Screven’s Battery Garland 👻

Couple months ago I got to do this animated project based on one of the many scary ghost stories in the Savannah area. I took to the neighboring Tybee Island, where Fort Screven stands (former military base during the Spanish-American war and both world wars, current Tybee Island museum), right by the Tybee Lighthouse.

The “Battery Garland” located inside the fort contains hundreds of years of military history, but that also comes with its reputation as one of the most haunted places in Tybee Island. Visitors and ghost hunters report eerie anomalies, hearing voices of those lost in war, and the sounds of footsteps while exploring the outdoor areas as well as the fort’s underground tunnels.

This was a fun project and a chance to learn a little more about Savannah and Tybee history for me! I liked designing this like a found-footage documentary where they just barely catch a glimpse of the ghosts surrounding the fort.

I haven’t actually gotten the chance to see it in person yet—maybe next time I’m in Sav.

Kept these pretty loose and focused a bunch on keeping contrast high where the most interesting parts of the drawings are 🔥

TOMMY FIGHTER: ULTRA 👊🔥

For an awesome animated self portrait project from earlier this year! Not only was this my first animated project in years but also became one of my favorite illustration projects ever and a very different self portrait than usual. Most of you guys know how much I love fighting games and classic gaming visuals in general so shoving my own face in there felt silly and referential in a way I knew I could totally make my own!

⚒️ GOLIATH Action Figure - Packaging Design Mockup

Toy Design Project
Here’s a mockup for Goliath’s action figure box/packaging! I had lots of fun with this project as I’m really passionate and obsessed with very articulated action figures and wanted to turn my own character into his own toy. The last slide had a breakdown of the articulation, but be sure to peek at my previous post to see it more clearly-I spent a lot of time researching how a toy like this would be designed to move, and specified every point of articulation!
Although the character was designed a year before this project, he never officially got a name until this was put together; Inspired by classic sculpture and Greek statues, especially Michelangelo’s David (I.e. his opponent).
This figure would come with several swappable parts for heads, hands and his Hammer and Chisel weapons.

⚒️ GOLIATH - Action Figure Breakdown

Some toy design stuff!
Here’s a breakdown of how a highly articulated action figure of Goliath (The Sculptor) from my conceptual fighting game “ArtFists” would be constructed, including callouts of where each joint, hinge, swivel, etc. is placed and articulates.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a project based on this concept but I’ll be reintroducing ArtFists with some more fun concept art and mockups soon, including an animation too! I’ve been working on a bunch more portfolio sheets for this concept over the last few months.
