Wanted to share a divine moment at the women’s empowerment retreat I curated (@wolfscryretreat), in which strong & independent women came together and created art through rhythm, soul, and dance during one of my fave workshops. 💃🏽

The beginning starts off as a freestyle, giving into the movement within the sound waves, and then in unison, the choreo (by the extremely talented teacher of the arts miss Sydney aka @knottedworld) overtakes the floor. It does end in a silly lil twerk sesh 😅, we couldn’t help ourselves, but all in all, I am so proud of what women can create and accomplish together. Thank you Sydney for this beautiful work of art and putting this particular workshop together. 🙏🏽

This wasn’t a final run of the dance but it’s all I could find, so sorry if there’s moments of being a little off, but at the end of the day, this was just for fun and celebrating womanhood 🫂👯‍♀️

I realize I don’t often showcase my dancing on ig, so lmk if you like this content 😌

As I stepped into the forest, I took everything in around me. The birds were chirping, and the sound of the water from a nearby river prodded on the rocks embedded within the earth, pitter pattering against one another in a consistent rhythm. The stark contrast of the naked tree branches along the sky’s horizon was reminiscent of the human mind…looking like synapses when they form trail like connections, from the foundation, all the way to a twig or a leaf. I then saw a little bird land on one of its branches, and started to imagine how small I must look from his perspective, and that we’re all interconnected; ebbing and flowing together in harmony. And honestly? I haven’t felt truly at peace like that in a long time, even if it were for a mere moment. Rebirth. Gratitude. Resilience. Mother Nature always has the lessons, teaching us to evolve and adapt, reminding us that we need to know where to look, but most importantly, where to 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭.

I haven’t opened up like that in a while, IG started becoming something different, but this feels right 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦, so I vow to be vulnerable, no matter how hard life wants to bitter me, I’ll be better. taken in The Enchanted Forest by @toni_michelle
