✨🚺 THE DAY HAS COME! 🚺✨ I’ve been patiently waiting to announce the launch of this new series I did for my @girlskateboards family! Today is the drop! Check with your local shop or go to @crailtap to get your hands on them! Below is the blurb I wrote for how it came about. To be able to blend several loves of my life into one project just doesn’t get better! ✨⚡️🚺⚡️✨ ——— One way I approach developing ideas for new board graphics is by identifying cultural elements that have seemingly unrelated ties to skateboarding. In this case, I was thinking about individuality and the role it plays in both skateboarding and music making. Every skater has a particular style for setting up their board. Whether it’s the way they lay down the grip or how tight they dial in the truck tension, each choice contributes to a larger whole, like the varied lines of a fingerprint. No two skateboarders are the same. Similarly, guitar players face myriad options when building their pedalboards. The “stompbox” combinations are endless, and no two guitarists do it exactly the same way. The result is a system that gives each player a sound uniquely their own. I chose four classic pedals for this series, though it could easily have been many more. Each of these legendary pedals has played a significant role in forming unique guitar sounds across vast genres of music for decades. Skateboards and pedalboards are tools of their respective trades. But it is the individuality of each user that turns these inanimate objects into otherworldly art. -TL by @tonylarsonstudio

What a night. The crowd was incredible. All the emotions were present. Stay tuned for more photos as they trickle in. This first pic of @saiz5412 and I means a lot. What an influence he has been in skateboarding for myself and so many others. Also, like me he’s been able to turn that part of his life into a new passion for the beautiful struggle of making art. My entire digital presence, for as long as I have had one, has been about sharing. Whether it’s been on personal blogs, Facebook, Instagram, publication interviews, emails or text messages, there has been one predominantly and overwhelming desire: to share. It’s all I want to do. So, a while ago I started posting “Mood Rings” here on Insta. They are stories that feature exactly what they say: visual and musical “rings” that sound a “mood” for me. I just posted my 60th Mood Ring. These are made for you. Maybe you’re stuck and need an idea, or need time to kill, or need to build a color palette, or want to discover something. Whatever.
