Turns out I was on fine form for @the_gallows__ this year. Rolled with a solid group that was above my pay grade and paid for it in the final 10km. Super happy with the end result 😁

Tested some new @velotoze.sa kit in preparation for 36One and it’s a game changer! 🤘will be using it for most gravel races now.

Such a rad event and here’s to hoping that the dates work out so I can do it again next year 🙌

Cape Town’s Tony Lotter has officially gone five-for-five at The Ceder - four times on the 240km route and the 150km last year.🏆🚴

For him, the Cederberg delivers the full package: remote, rugged, and guaranteed to test whatever riding ability you think you have. He says Uitkyk Pass hits hard in the race, but reaching the top and looking back at the road you’ve just come up is one of those “okay, that was worth it” moments.

His standout memory is still the inaugural event, even in the snow. It was his first-ever gravel race, the distance felt terrifying, and he and @‌becksabbey rode it together and ended up having an incredible day out there. 🌼

36One is one of those events that hurts a little and yet I still come back each year. Guess that shows what an incredible experience it really is.

6 months of hard training went into this one and it paid off getting me the sub 17 and top 20 finish goals. A full hour faster than last year 🙌

Thank you @thathoffie for the hours of coaching, Bishop Factory Racing for the checkpoint support and the whole crew that came with for a lekka weekend.

Easily one of the most incredible adventures one can do. If you own a gravel bike (or don't) this simply HAS TO get onto your bucket list.

It starts with building your bike in the Geroge airport, cycling out into the dark of night to your first nights accomodation followed by 6 days of the most magical and beautiful gravel terrain you likely to see. Iconic passes, amazing people, unexpected swims and tons of banter in between till you arrive back in Cape Town 6 days later.

6 days of the most incredible gravel cycling you could possibly imagine. I could go on for days about it and likely will 😂 First off though it wouldn’t ever happen if people didn’t make it happpen. Deano you an annoying bastard but man did you nail this, thank you so much for taking the time and then spending time away from the responsibilities you had. Tiger lord knows you are the co founder and bring a never ending spirit of attack and gees no one could rival. The fact you doing ceder in two days speaks volumes. Chloe, it was great to get to know you, you a perfect match for Deano 😂 Thanks for the verbal abuse making sure I don’t quit 😂 Zack, Tarzan, Samson, the list could go on, 5 hours into the headwind today, zackalicious vibes, crazy sticker game and much more, such a legend, appreciate the time we got to spend. To anyone who owns a gravel bikes or wants to - please for the love of god don’t limit yourself to spice route and paid only events, this entire trip is doable to all and more breathtaking than you could imagine. It’s bucket list stuff - get out and do it. The support you bring to the communities along the road and the fire you’ll bring to your soul is a combination you will never regret. I’m so grateful I have a family that encourages and supports me in these wild adventures. Nothing made me happier than getting back to all of you. Day 5 | In cycling you have goood days and you have not so good days then get you get days like today 😂 Don’t think I could’ve struggled anymore than I did. Legs gone, rain, cold, it got emotional fast. Luckily I’m surrounded by people who have a no DNF policy and are pretty fokken inspiring. Tomorrow we go home. I couldn’t be more excited to see my family.
