In June, Their Majesties The King and Queen of Denmark visited our brewery in Svinninge as part of their summer cruise aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog 🇩🇰

People from across Svinninge came out to celebrate, bringing flags, smiles and plenty of local spirit.
During the visit, we showed the royal couple around the brewery and shared the story of To Øl City. From its past as the Beauvais factory to the production site, workplace and visitor destination it is today.
We talked about Danish beer production, ingredients and craftsmanship, as well as what it means to build a business with strong roots in its local community.

A very special day for our brewery and for the town we call home 🍻 by @toolbeer

Thinking back to warmer days in Milan.

In April, we joined Tom Dixon at Mulino Estate for Milan Design Week. They transformed the space; we brought the beer. by @toolbeer

A dark beer with a lighter outlook. Full of character and easy to get along with. by @toolbeer

Hop selection. A good reason to follow your nose.

Our brewers Tamar and Mariano travelled to Oregon and Washington during hop harvest to select the hops we’ll be brewing with over the coming year.

We’ve collaborated on a beer with artist Emeka Ogboh for Interlude (2026), part of Sound Of, an exhibition presented by the Museum of Contemporary Art Roskilde.

Together with a bar environment and soundscape, the beer forms part of a space for listening, tasting and conversation. Bright citrus unfolds into gentle herbal notes and a dry, lingering finish. Alongside the sound piece, it’s an invitation to slow down and notice what reveals itself when you give it time.

Experience The Sound Of at @museet_for_samtidskunst until November 8.

Thank you for a beautiful @eremitagelob .

A big thank you to the organizers for bringing so many runners together in such a stunning setting.

And thank you to everyone who stopped by the finish area afterwards. You came, you ran, and you pretty much cleared us out.

There was still some water left in the end. But not a drop of beer or soda.

We’ll take that as a compliment! by @toolbeer

A little look back at summer and 3daysofdesign. We paid a visit to The Danish Art Workshops in Christianshavn, where an old warehouse gives artists and designers room to think big and work at a scale their own studios might not allow. We’re always happy to support craftsmanship beyond our own. 🛠️

Thanks for having us, @statensvaerksteder 🙏 by @toolbeer

Here is a look at the decoration for To Øl’s exhibition stands at some beverage- and food-related trade fairs in Herning (DK) and Hamburg (DE). The decoration features a deconstructed pattern applied to backdrops, coolers, pedestals, and merch. The pattern references industrial graphics and dazzle camouflage while also paying homage to some of the great decorators of the Danish welfare state, namely Poul Gernes and Per Arnoldi, through the use of vivid colours. The idea is to inject a destabilising element into the otherwise rather formal trade fairs. by @toolbeer

Eremitageløbet coming up this Sunday!

For the first time To Øl and Implosion is a part of Eremitageløbet taking place in the historic hills north of Copenhagen.

16.000 runners covering 13,3 k while passing by the Eremitage Castle right in the center of it all. The trees will be changing from green to orange almost as you pass by them and the weather is looking grand 🌤️

Enjoy an Implosion or soda from Svinninge Mineralvand when crossing the finish line while enjoying the view! by @toolbeer

Every beer we make begins with malt. Most of our base malt comes from Fuglsang Maltfabrik in Haderslev, where barley goes through a nine-day process of steeping, germination and kilning before it is ready for brewing.

Kim Fuglsang, fifth generation at the family-run maltings, took us through the process and showed us how each batch is carefully controlled and traced along the way.
A closer look at one of the most important ingredients in our beer, long before it reaches the brewhouse in Svinninge. by @toolbeer

And that’s a wrap on our festival season 2026 🍻
We took one last round in Valbyparken, wrapping up the summer with Keinemusik and a full on dance floor.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our bars, enjoyed a beer or cocktail, danced, partied or poured and made this festival season what it was.
Now we’ve packed up our taps and banners, heading back to To Øl City and started planning on how do it all over again next year⚡

See you in 2027! by @toolbeer
