If Hozier were a space, it’d be @topangaaframe, our October Wow Space. 🍂 Located in the canyons of Topanga, this 1978 cabin feels straight out of an indie music video—probably because it was designed by two indie artists. 🪕

Step inside the deeply personal A-frame home of indie-folk musicians Deena Robertson and Austin Bisnow (@topangaaframe), where vintage finds, sculptural lighting, and music come together in a soulful setting.

With sweeping views of Topanga Canyon, the home was designed to blur the boundaries between indoors and out, creating a retreat for living, making, and reconnecting with nature.

A few favorite shots from the Before & After feature of our client @topangaaframe in @dwellmagazine

Every detail of this Topanga home renovation was intentional – skylights flooding handbuilt bathrooms, a zen den tucked into the crux of the A-frame, crushed crystals filling a cracked wood slab, and an underground wellness cave carved into the hillside. Owners, Austin and Deena, designed the home around calming the nervous system, and built it almost entirely by hand.

We never set out to build one of the country’s top rated Airbnb’s. We set out to build a space for people to deeply restore their nervous system. We wanted love to flourish, a space that people could slow down and let creativity run wild. A space to laugh with friend and family and a space one felt safe to be alone with your thoughts.

This journey has been so deeply rewarding and inspiring. We are so grateful for all the amazing humans that have trusted our home to house so many special moments!
