If you know how tall the tower is then you know how monstrous this smoke plume is. The #palisadesfire reached our place but the building and tower are undamaged. 🙏LA🙏Angelenos🙏Topanga🙏❤️🙏Give what u can + love what you’ve got. Thanks to friend and neighbor Dawn Fine for the great photo and Sam, Luis, Ron and Joy for your commitment. Thanks firefighters and first responders for your hard work and dedication. Thanks to the amazing people who rallied to feed, clothe, house and inform those who needed it. What a city. taken in Topanga, California by @topangatower

Join us next weekend on Sunday Oct 18th at the extraordinary @topangatower for an intimate afternoon of sound, plants, architecture, and connection to the land.

We’ll begin with a private architectural tour led by the Tower’s owner and architect, John Jennings, followed by seasonal herbal tea and native plant energy work with @rituellife founder Eve Gaines.

Musician and vocalist @soundofzoe will then guide us through an immersive sound experience, inviting deep listening, restoration, and connection.

This is opportunity to slow down and reconnect with nature 🌿

Space is limited. Reserve your place through the link in bio. taken in Los Angeles, California by @topangatower

As Moon House expands, I’m interested in learning more about the way architecture and land work together to create healing and soulful spaces.

Tucked into the mountains above Topanga, a Cold War era telecommunications tower once carried whispers of long distance calls across the country. Today, that same structure lives on as @topangatower, also known as the SALT House, and reborn as one of the most striking spaces I’ve ever stepped into.

We gathered to tour the home and take part in a native plant ceremony hosted by @rituellife. Eve, the founder and facilitator taught about the medical properties of the native plants while we drank tea and experienced an even deeper connection to the property we were visiting.

The space features 36 inch concrete walls, 15 foot ceilings, and a massive accordion skylight that floods the interior with natural light.

The architect walked us through his design choices. Hearing the thought process behind every detail was not only fascinating but effective in creating a felt sense of awe and appreciation for what it takes to create these powerful homes.

I ended the night @endlesscolorpizza, a Canyon staple, with live music playing outside under a sparkling disco ball… grateful for community and this precious life.
