Keeping the flock entertained doesn't need to be complicated. Chooks naturally love to peck and forage, so giving them something that encourages those behaviours is a great way to keep them occupied.

Handmade right here in Oamaru, the Poultry Pecker is packed with grains, veges, chia, garlic and herbs. A tasty treat that keeps busy beaks entertained while adding a little nutritional goodness to their day. by @topflite_nz

A little trip down memory lane 🌾

With Country Calendar celebrating 60 years, we thought it was a good time to revisit Topflite’s own Country Calendar moment.

The episode takes you behind the scenes at Topflite, showing what goes into our seed and the journey it takes from the paddock through to the finished product. It’s a great look at the people, the land and the work behind what we do. 🌻

It all starts here.
These tiny green shoots are our canary seed coming to life in North Otago soil.

There’s a fair bit of growing still to come, but eventually this crop will become quality NZ-grown seed for our feathered friends.

From paddock to bird bowl, we reckon it’s pretty special knowing where your bird’s feed begins 🌿 by @topflite_nz

A busy bunny is a happy bunny. 🐰💚

The Forager Hay Feeder encourages natural foraging behaviours by making meal time more engaging and rewarding. When filled with quality hay, it helps keep curious rabbits entertained while supporting their instinct to forage, nibble and explore.

We think someone has found their new favourite pastime. 💚 by @topflite_nz

Quality is at the heart of everything we do at Topflite, alongside staying true to the values and passion that shaped our roots.

Proudly NZ-designed, our Nectar Feeder is built for New Zealand’s nectar-feeding birds and practical Kiwis who value products that are easy to use and clean.

It’s a feeder that continues to evolve, thanks to the feedback of passionate bird lovers across the country.

To everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts with us, thank you. Your insights continue to shape the future of this Kiwi-designed favourite. by @topflite_nz

Looking after your backyard visitors starts with good hygiene. If you offer water or food for birds, keeping everything clean and fresh is one of the most important things you can do for their health 🐦

Another great day out with our local DOC team planting natives. Four years on, we're still getting our hands dirty for a great cause. This year our team planted 1,700 native plants, helping us surpass 5,000 native plants planted through the Topflite Soar Initiative over the past four years.

We're proud to play a part in supporting New Zealand's unique flora and fauna for generations to come. 🌳🌿 by @topflite_nz

🥚
Good eggs start with grit.

While chickens might not have teeth, they do have a secret weapon: their gizzard. Combined with the right grit, this powerful little muscle helps break down food for better digestion. And for laying hens, calcium-rich soluble grit helps support strong eggshells and healthy egg production.

🥚 Helps build strong shells

Because sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference.
