Does your dog know what December 1st means? 👀🎄

Maybe this is the year to start a new Christmas tradition. 25 days, 25 tasty surprises, and one hound who suddenly gets VERY excited about the date!

Something tells us they’ll catch onto this tradition pretty quickly! Calendars are limited, so get theirs sorted while you can. by @topflitehound

have you checked out @topflitehound ‘s newest addition to their range, Meatballs?!

we were lucky enough to receive our very own and it’s safe to say that all the dogs absolutely devoured them!

they’re 100% meat, nothing else. they’re a meal topper designed to only make up 20% of your dogs needed daily calories - the other 80% coming from their main diet. for us it’s adding it to their favourite @acanapetfood_nz kibble.

we love adding tasty bits in our dogs meals, they work so hard for us here on the farm (predominantly rico!) so keeping their bowl interesting is the least we can do!

pickles is beyond fussy, always has been - right from when she came home as a little wee thing. if she goes crazy for something it means it must be pretty good. let me just say that these meatballs get more than her tick of approval - she goes absolutely mad for them.

definitely check them out, they’re now a staple in our dogs daily meals 😋

This Labour Weekend, we’re celebrating the working dogs whose very important jobs come with four paws and a super-powered nose.

Meet Scout, one of Aotearoa’s e-scential conservation workers, from @thehaloproject.beyondorokonui

A dog’s nose is good for much more than finding dropped sausages. Across Aotearoa, conservation dogs are putting their extraordinary noses to work for our native wildlife.

Scout is a small border terrier who helped with efforts to make the Otago Peninsula possum-free. His super-sniffer helped conservation teams track down some of the hardest-to-find pests.

Good boy, Scout. That’s one very important nose.

What a weekend! 🐾

We had an absolute blast getting out and about at Barking Mad Market in Takapuna and the Little River Farmers Market. A huge thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat, picked up some treats, grabbed a sample or simply introduced us to their four-legged friends.

And of course, a big congratulations to @pixie_thefluff, the lucky winner of our Topflite Hound Advent Calendar giveaway! 🎄🐶 We reckon December is looking pretty tasty at your place.

Thanks for having us, Takapuna and Little River. We loved meeting you! ❤️

Adding Beef Meatballs from @topflitehound to Riko’s usual dinner for an extra hit of protein to help him refuel and support muscle recovery after all the adventures. 💪🏼

100% New Zealand beef, freeze-dried goodness, and absolutely no sharing with the human. Thanks. 😌🐾

The results of feeding your dog a little fresh food each day speak for themselves, according to Dr Heidi Ward-McGrath. 🥦🐟

Most dogs that eat the same thing their whole lives have low microbiome diversity in their gut. Introducing fresh foods, even in small amounts, can diversify your dogs gut bacteria and provide real health benefits.

A real game changer for your dog‘s health 🐾🤎 by @topflitehound

Whether they’re retired or just not built for hard yakka, former working dogs can enjoy life at a slower pace – and make great pets! The Retired Working Dogs Charitable Trust is doing amazing work to find homes for them 🤎.
