Click link in bio for lowest price on the Ball First Board. Most golfers only throw their hips through the downswing and leave a ton of power on the table — real speed comes from your upper body joining in too.

This video uses a simple kettlebell throw analogy to show how your whole body, not just your hips, creates the momentum you need to really rip it.

You'll learn how to let your upper body follow your hips at the top of the swing so all that momentum transfers through impact, giving you more speed and distance without changing your swing mechanics.

We used the Ball First Board to help feel and confirm this correct sequencing at the top of the swing.

If you don't stay connected, once you get to impact, there just isn't space to release the club properly. Casting 😱
You can see here getting in this position makes it possible to powerfully release the club and get some serious distance

Breaking down the biggest consistency killer I see in most golf swings: syncing your weight shift with your backswing and downswing so it feels all arms. Using my Ball First board, I show how the weight shift should precede the arms, just like Tiger Woods in 2000. I demonstrate how to start with a small pressure bump into the trail side before the backswing (without swaying into the right stick), then squat and bump down-and-left to load the lead leg before the downswing. The key sequence is “bump, turn, bump, turn,” so the lower body shifts first and the arms follow through. I also explain how you can practice this at home, on the range, or on the course, and where to find the link to the board while supplies last. by @topspeedgolf
