This one is extra special. I’m so happy to share my first Director’s Reel! Throughout college and even until now I had a hard time identifying my voice as an artist. Folks always told me they saw it, but I never really did. Sitting back and watching this reel made it so evident to me the unison my films have and reassured me of my purpose. I want to say a huge thank you to @jalenrfilms for editing this reel for me! He has been one of the best collaborators I’ve worked with and has seen me grow immensely over the years. Thank you so much to the DP’s showcased (@jalenrfilms @cal_le0n @cshaw.dop ), who have made it possible for me to have the means to even make a reel! My favorite part of watching this reel is seeing all of the talented individuals who have supported my work (big and small). None of this would be possible without their love and support towards me, so I truly want to thank them to the moon and back! @woppastyleko @kimikomjackson @joshpsax @charlidahni @maya_corwin @samiyamonaee @tashatayy @a.avery__ @etherealevesha @christiansantiagoo @yesseh_ali @nia.amate @khourist.surin @tashanthornton @shaniajenayy @bumblebmarie @minns_inc @mecca_khem @dorien.harris I shall cherish this one 🥹♥️ by @torian.studios

This summer I was honored to have my piece “A Moment Of Ours” showcased in Philadelphia City Hall for the “Out of Many, One” exhibition. When I saw the open call for photography that represented different neighborhoods in Philadelphia, this photograph immediately came to mind. A Moment Of Ours, is a snapshot from the @blackurbangrowers gathering in 2024, hosted by @oneartcommunitycenter . This is one of the first moments in my career where I was in awe and felt truly blessed to capture beautiful moments like this, as a profession. It truly felt like a safe space. It reminded me of one of my favorite inspirations, The Sugar Shack by Ernie Barnes. The crowd was sea of Black Urban Growers and Farmers, with different dialects from all over the country, who were able to celebrate and break bread in a space that truly reflected and valued them. Thank you @creativephl for having me apart of this beautiful showcase, amongst several artists who inspire me. by @torian.studios
