I’m an Ironman — kind of.

Leeds Ironman 2026 was electric. The biggest, most insane experience I’ve ever been part of. Despite the swim being cancelled, it was an unforgettable and genuinely special day.

I’m a firm believer that it’s not what happens to you, but how you react that matters. The swim cancellation was gutting, but I chose positivity. I put months of training, sacrifice and hard work to the test, and left absolutely everything I had out on the course.

I’m not officially an Ironman. That dream will have to wait. But this race doesn’t define my identity. You don’t become an Ironman on race day — you become one through the months of hard work, and every day you show up when you don’t feel like it.

In my mind, I am an Ironman. I know I’m capable of completing the full distance, especially after taking on one of, if not the toughest Ironman bike courses and a hilly marathon afterwards.

This experience has taught me so much — about nutrition, sport, resilience, and what I’m capable of. More importantly, it’s given me a genuine love for fitness and the drive to become the best version of myself.

180km Bike - 7hrs 21, 2800 Altimeters
42.2km run (Marathon) - 4hrs 1
Finnish time - 11:50:49

This challenge is done. I gave it everything.
Now, onto the next one. Nepal 🇳🇵 taken in Ironman by @torinliver

£20,364 raised and donated to SAMH’s - Prevent Suicide North East 💙 through the sales of my 2025 & 2026 calendar sales.

2026 calendars ✅ 650 calendars sold ✅ £15,086 raised and donated (£12,638 without gift aid)

2025 & 2026 calendar sales combined:
1000 calendars sold ✅
And many great achievements along the way ✅

A different year, the same kind of post. The same audio, the same location, a better calendar, and the same mission: to make as big a difference as possible in suicide prevention by raising vital funds and awareness for a cause that truly matters.

This project was hard, and I won’t pretend otherwise. Keeping on top of sales, finances, and distributing so many calendars, all while working full-time and training full-time for Aconcagua, meant many late nights and very little sleep.

There were plenty of challenges along the way, but I managed. Despite everything, the effort was absolutely worth it. This project was a success, and once again, it exceeded every expectation I had.

I’m incredibly grateful to be able to turn my photography into something with real meaning and purpose. I truly hope this work can have a positive impact and help save lives. This cause, and the fight to prevent suicide, means more to me than anything.

And no, I’m not slowing down. I’m already editing my portfolio and looking ahead to the 2027 calendars, with bigger projects ahead, including Everest 2028. More on that soon.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported, bought, shared, or believed in this project. I couldn’t have done this without you. 🤍

While Instagram doesn’t have enough space to thank everyone. This posts full script is on my facebook. Please go and visit that post, I want you to see all of the many amazing business and individuals who helped me this year, because they matter. And I couldn’t have done it without them. I do have just enough space to make the most important thank yous here on my bigger platform.

Alistair and Nicola at Spider on a bike and Kinker Village Store. Thank you 🙏
Aboyne and Upper Deeside Rotary Club, thank you so much 🤝

More on Facebook.

Thank you
All the best for 2026 everyone 💪

Day trip Maxxing 🏎️💨🔥🏔️

Ben Starav 5 Day trip - Bonkers. 9 hours of Driving. 11 hours of demanding Walking. 30km. 2600m of elevation. 18 hour round trip. 80 Quid of fuel 🤬🤦Brutal, but incredibly fun and with the best company ❤️

Sometimes you just have to have the balls and confidence to say what you want, and go for it. And that was what this day was. I wanted to do this massive day and saw no reason why I couldn’t. Left the house at 5am, was back at midnight 💪

I’m knackered now. This was my biggest day trip yet. I love day trips. It was worth it for that view of Loch Etive. Perfect training for Nepal 🇳🇵in 11 days.

Nepal T-15 days 🇳🇵🏔️🫡

On top of my reel yesterday about my training for the big mountains, climbing has been a big part of my training and preparation. Always wearing my @pioneercampgear 🤝

Now that Ironman training is out of the way, it’s been great to shift some of my focus back to climbing. Recently, that’s meant a bit of everything: trad, sport, indoor bouldering, and even getting outdoors bouldering for the first time.

Climbing has always been something I’ve done simply because I enjoy it, without any particular goal or reason beyond that. But with Ama Dablam on the horizon, it’s taken on a slightly different purpose.

It’s given me the motivation to push myself, get comfortable with exposure, sharpen my rope work, and build confidence in my footwork and movement on challenging terrain. I know the exposure on Ama Dablam will be on another level, and I want to give myself the best possible chance of handling it calmly and confidently, rather than feeling out of my depth when it matters most.

It’s been really good to spend more time on the rock lately, not just because I enjoy it, but because I know it’s helping me prepare to take on this mountain as confidently and safely as possible.

Still plenty to learn, but feeling good about the process. 🧗‍♂️🏔️

AMA DABLAM

in a few weeks form now I will be heading back to nepal to guide another climb on one of the most beautiful and iconic mountains in the Solu Khumbu region - better known as the Everest valley.
This trip and expedition is more than just climbing an amazing peak. It’s training for an Mount Everest project but more importantly it’s a part of something bigger and much more meaningful

My client has a story to tell. He has a purpose with this climb and project. Something I support and value. 🙏🏻
We will tell you guys all about it when we get started.
First we climb a small 6000m peak - Island Peak before we put our minds up for the “real deal” Ama Dablam

Do follow our journey with daily updates directly from the mountains 🏔️
