Toro’s debut LP, “I’d Trade It All For A Little More” was released on March 18, 2026 and its incredible. They exhibit an incredible amount of sonic flexibility through 11 songs over 37 minutes, spanning an experimental sound across Alternative Rock, Post-Hardcore, New Wave, and Shogaze genres, with specific tracks reminding me of artists like Sonic Youth, Joy Division, and Depeche Mode. The front half of the album is more experimental, with the back half allowing them to fit into a more similar sound. The instrumentation on this album is incredible, as they paint these incredible audio tableaus. The drumming is incredibly tight and the changing patterns on many of the tracks allows the band to create these great swells of emotion and energy. Songs like Felicity, DSD, Idea, and To Our Is That feature these “sound effects” that buff out the mix and really add to the quality of the song, even if it’s not something you’d pick up on during the first listen. I would really recommend you listen to this album on speakers to enjoy the full sound! My two favorite tracks on this record were No Security and Latin Kobe. On my first listen, I had to google of No Security was a cover or not because I was so shocked by the sound. Its very gothic and new wave, with intricate synths and bright sounds while still maintaining a Toro sound. The track immediately after, Latin Kobe, should’ve been called Latin Bam cause this shit is so good its unethical. The nearly 6 minute long epic ebbs and flows, with grand builds and crazy beatdowns.

If this interested you at all, give their music a listen on streaming services or follow them on instagram @toroallcaps to see when their next show is. by @toroallcaps
