Love is a wonderful feeling — but it's also a choice.

It's showing up for the sunny days, the ones that feel easy and warm and good. And it's showing up for the stormy ones too — the days that ask you to work, to stay, to love anyway. The grand gestures and the quiet, simple ones. They all deserve the choice to love.

That's what I watched these two do. For each other. With each other.

I wasn't there as their photographer — I was there as part of the wedding party. But the grooms asked if I'd bring my camera to Provincetown before the nor'easter rolled in, right on time for their wedding day, to capture some sunny day strolls. I was secretly grateful for that storm. We had a small window — just us, their fiercely supportive besties, the streets of P-town, and the calm before the storm. And in that window, I got to capture something I'll never forget: two people, a bit frazzled but still completely at peace in their love, right before the sky opened up. And truthfully, that peace stayed even through the storm.

It gave me faith in them. It made me happy, and honestly, it made me feel at peace for my friend — that he found the right person to feel and choose love with through all kinds of weather.

I'm so glad I got to capture some of those sunny days before the storm, because they'll always be a reminder that both will exist. The sun and the storms. The calm and the chaos.

And together.....all days are the best days. Congratulations, you two. Here's to every single one of them. ☀️⛈️💞

Nor’easter? No’problem. 🌧️❤️

One week later, and we’re still “Joyful, Joyful” thinking about the love that surrounded us on our wedding day in Provincetown.

The storm changed our plans, but our family, friends, and vendors showed up, braved the weather, and made us feel more loved than we ever could have imagined.

Joyful, Joyful was always meant to be part of our ceremony. Somehow, it ended up becoming the feeling of the entire day.

Still joyful. Still grateful. Still married. ❤️
