A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this summer and over the exceptionally busy bank holiday weekend, through sunshine and showers.

Summer hols are reaching their bank holiday peak. We’re open from 0800 until 1430 all the way through. Postcards from Lyme Regis 🏖️ The beaut seaside town with tons of great foodie options and only 1hr 45 mins from Bristol, and less than 90 mins from Clevedon 🩵

Two years ago this week Bea and I took a trip as a last chance of a term time escape before she started school in the September 🥹 I asked yesterday what she remembered about it, and she said sand, seagulls and sausage rolls 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️

We went back again in Oct 2025 with my Mum for half term, as we thought she’d like it, and of course she did. Here are some of our favourite things to do:

🏝️ Play on the sandy beach (pic 2)
🦕 Go fossil hunting amongst the pebbles (it’s called the Jurassic coast for a reason!) (3)
🌈 Admire the gorgeous beach huts (we did a lot of this; 4-5)
🛍️ Shop for art, trinkets, fossils and more in any of the many independent stores. Love the book shop too! (6-7)
🏡 Wander and soak up the quaint architecture (8-9)
🌷Head to Langmoor & Lister Gardens for woods, flowers, views, statues and a gymnasium style playpark (Nonna on the equipment is something we’ll never forget, 10-11)
🥘 Take a cookery class with @strawberrytreelyme, (previous ad, no children, 12)
🦖 Lyme Regis Museum find out more about the history, geology and of course fossils!! (13-14)
🌊 Visit ‘The Cobb’ it’s big, it’s curved and it’s dramatic. Better in real life than pics! (Why I haven’t got one 🤣)
🍽️ Loads of great places to eat in and I’m planning a round up post from all our visits but my unmissable would be @townmillbakery, we went everyday they were open and we were there last time 😅 (15)
🍦 For ice cream it has to be @baboo_gelato (16)
🍟 Bag of chips is a must too and I’ll happily recommend either of the Lyme’s Fish Bars (17)

We’ve done it as a day trip a few times, in addition to stays, but if you’re looking for somewhere particularly gorgeous I love the @lymeregisstays properties for a bit more of a ‘luxe’ vibe (18-19). Sadly fully booked when we last visited, if you can be last minute like us, we found an alternative using @airbnb!

✨When you can’t make it to Town Mill Bakery … bring a little Lyme Regis luxury home instead

Afternoon tea at Obstgarten HW, Yorkshire tea in hand, sunshine out and Badminton Horse Trials on the screen… not a bad way to spend the afternoon 🤍
