🍂 Slash collection season officially wrapped up on September 30!
We’re hoping to make one final cleanup lap tomorrow to pick up any remaining piles. After that, it’s time to get ready for winter and keep our rights-of-way clear for snow storage. Thanks for helping keep our community clean and winter-ready! ❄️ taken in Town of Winter Park by @townofwinterpark

🚧 Heads up, Winter Park! Traffic impacts are expected along US 40 as crews work on guardrail replacement.
October 12-16, Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., expect single-lane closures between Vasquez Road (MP 229.6) and Winter Park Drive (MP 233).

🚗 Plan ahead and allow extra time for:
* Delays of up to 20 minutes
* A 40 mph speed limit through the work zone

We appreciate your patience as crews complete this work. Please slow down, stay alert, and give workers plenty of space. Thanks for helping keep our community safe! 💙 taken in Town of Winter Park by @townofwinterpark

⛰️🫶 Today is World Mental Health Day.
Life in the mountains has its ups and downs, and it’s okay to ask for help along the way. One of the best parts of living in our mountain community is knowing we’re here for one another. Today is a reminder to check in on your neighbors, make time for your own well-being, and remember that no one has to navigate life’s ups and downs alone.

🔥 Fire restrictions have been lifted in Grand County. Grand County’s Stage One fire restrictions will expire at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, October 8.

While restrictions are lifted, wildfire risk doesn’t disappear. Please continue to practice good fire safety and check for any restrictions that may still be in place on federal or other managed lands.

🚧 Trail Update for October 7
Stormwater culvert cleaning will take place near the Fraser River Trail underpass at Hwy 40 tomorrow, October 7.

Crews will be using high-pressure water to jet the culverts, which may create flying debris while work is underway.

If you’re using the trail and see cleaning operations in progress, please wait until workers give you the all-clear before proceeding through the area.

Thanks for helping crews work safely! 🚧 taken in Fraser River Trail by @townofwinterpark
