Montgomery County is taking some of the biggest social media companies to court.

The county filed a lawsuit against Meta, Snap, TikTok parent ByteDance, Google + other tech companies, alleging their platforms were designed in ways that negatively impact children’s mental health and well-being.

The lawsuit includes claims of negligence and public nuisance and was filed on behalf of Montgomery County’s schools and more than 180,000 minors living in tuhe county.

Montgomery County is also reportedly the largest jurisdiction in Pennsylvania so far to bring this type of litigation against the companies.

What do you think? Should social media companies be held more responsible for their impact on young users?

🌿📚 Havertown just earned a very cozy Best of Philly win.

Plant Roots and The Bookery Coffee House was named Best Bookstore for Plant Lovers (and Plant Store for Book Lovers) in Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly 2026.

The Brookline Boulevard shop brings together plants, books, coffee, gifts, and plenty of cozy corners to hang out, making it a pretty ideal stop for anyone who likes all of the above in one place.

Have you been to @thebookerycoffeehouse yet?
