When multiple trucks and trailers are moving every day, consistency matters. A dedicated breakaway cable anchor point makes it easier for drivers and crews to know exactly where the cable should connect.

TowTether offers a 10-pack bundle designed for fleet-ready protection, helping operations standardize the same safety connection across multiple towing setups.

The breakaway system is meant to be the final safety response if the trailer separates from the tow vehicle. TowTether was created to provide a dedicated, independent attachment point instead of relying on the safety chains, hitch components, ball, or safety-chain connection point.

The goal is simple: make the breakaway cable connection easy to locate, easy to repeat, and independent from the components involved in towing the trailer.

Is your breakaway cable hooked to your safety chains? That’s one of the most common RV towing mistakes… and it could get you fined or your rig held until it’s fixed.

After years as an over-the-road trucker dealing with DOT, I can tell you this… a lot of RVers think DOT doesn’t pay attention to them. But towing laws change state to state, and you follow the laws of the state you’re driving in… not your home state. #rvsafety #rvtips #veteranrver #towingsafety #towingsafety

Your breakaway cable needs its own attachment point so your trailer brakes actually engage if your trailer comes loose. Our friends @trekersorg did a great video on the right breakaway cable setup using the @towtether1 … go check it out and give them some love.

For trailers that are required to have brakes, 49 CFR 393.43(d) requires those brakes to apply automatically and immediately if the trailer breaks away from the towing vehicle.

TowTether is designed to provide a dedicated, independent location for the breakaway cable — helping make the connection easy to identify and repeat every time you tow.

Always follow your trailer manufacturer instructions and applicable regulations for your setup.

Every year, thousands of accidents happen because a trailer's breakaway cable are not properly anchored to tow vehicle. The cable activates your trailer's emergency brakes if it separates from your tow vehicle - but only if it's properly anchored.

TowTether creates a dedicated, high-strength attachment point that eliminates guesswork and keeps you compliant and safe.

Don't leave safety to chance on your next haul.
