Wow this makes for some sober reading. Did you know these facts?! I didn’t that’s for sure. Please please don’t stop. I’m day 10 of ‘Sober October’ which is the longest I’ve gone for a few years without a cheeky glass of wine I reckon!! Thank you so far to everyone who has donated so kindly and for all the lovely personal messages I’m receiving. I know @stwilfridshospice and the Maynards are very grateful for every penny of support. We’re nearly at £3k which is mind blowing!! X

Did you know we now serve the incredible sourdough made by our very own local bakery @motteandbaileybakery ? Well you do now! It’s delicious and we’re honoured to be the only restaurant they supply. Mike has this outstanding work ethic and his bakery and the team who work there, is testament to that. They even deliver it warm every morning fresh out the oven; you can’t get better than that. Their pastries are also huge and delicious…also the French baguette is an absolutely must-try! Thanks Mike for letting us share your bread with our guests, we’re lucky to have you in Arundel.

We’re on the look out for a couple of new superstars to join our team. We need a part-time front of house Supervisor to work with Liz and the team and a full-time Kitchen Porter to join Lee, Dave and the kitchen crew. The Supervisor must have experience at a similar level; a little wine knowledge is beneficial. The full time Kitchen Porter must be organised and methodical. It’s a tough job but working with our Chefs is fun and fuelled by banter! Competitive pay and gratuities, working with a fantastic team. We are back open today after a lovely break with our twins post-GCSEs! Come and sit on the patio, have a glass of rosé and enjoy some delicious food with our fantastic team. Bookings are open online, there’s limited space so call if you can’t see what you want. Also we have to give a massive shout out to Chef Dave @davidlivi_ who has been promoted to Head Chef after our lovely Jonny left to spend more time with his young family. Congrats Chef! We were lucky to have stayed @tinwoodestatevineyard on Sunday night for Lee’s birthday. A great Sunday lunch (their last of the season) with a delicious bottle of their Blanc de Noir followed by a wonderful and relaxed night in one of their vineyard lodges. Breakfast delivered in a hamper and enjoyed on the deck, was a definite highlight and perfect start to the day. Thanks to the Tinwood team for a fabulous stay! And cheers to @janinevannieuwkerk for helping me organise it. by @tpt_restaurant

A few more moments from The Bell shoot with @tpt_restaurant . . .

What struck me was the quiet focus of the kitchen: Head Chef Jonny peeling shallots (I think 😀); Sous Chef Dave rolling out the gnocchi . . . he’s been with the restaurant for almost 10 years. Restaurant supervisor, Monica, having a giggle Liz. Think I must have been telling one of my bad jokes! Monica has the accolade of being TPT’s longest-standing member of staff. Amazing! 💙

Although it felt a little dark in there, I turned off all the fluorescent lighting in the kitchen. With the strong sunlight pouring in, it created this wonderful dramatic glow across the space.
