I took the trip of a lifetime, and it completely changed the way I see the hair industry.
Vietnam and Cambodia are two of the world’s leading sources of raw hair, and I had the opportunity to experience the entire journey firsthand; from a single-donor cut, to wefting, cleansing, and watching skilled artisans transform it into finished wigs.
Seeing every step of the process gave me a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every bundle. It reinforced why quality, transparency, and sourcing matter so much to me.

If you’re a sew-in girlie, here are some top tips for the best care of your hair and extensions:
1. Cleanse your scalp regularly — use a clarifying cleanser or AVC shampoo pro tip 💡 use an applicator bottle so you can reach between the tracks without disturbing the install.

2. Moisturize your leave-out nightly with lightweight serums or leave-in sprays keep your natural hair hydrated.
3. sleep in satin pillowcases or bonnet every night: silk or satin helps prevent frizz, matting, and unnecessary tension on the install.
4. Dry shampoo is your friend between cleansing to help with oil buildup. @unsubscribe.co has an amazing foam for the workout girlies.
5. dry your braids at least 75% to avoid that mildew smell 🤢 — use a blow dryer at the roots or a hood dryer for best results.
