Building a Real-life FPS. 🎯 This is TRACER a muzzle-mounted camera + AI companion app that turns any shot into real hit registration. Here’s how it works: If a human’s behind your crosshairs when you pull the trigger, it’s a hit. No vests. No sensors on the target. Just the gun and the software. And it’s not just people. TRACER can tell what you hit. Walls, TVs, dogs, cats — whatever’s downrange, it knows. Where this is going: Large-scale multiplayer with real-time damage and eliminations. Simulated UAVs, airstrikes, the whole battlefield layer. Think Call of Duty, except you’re actually holding the gun and moving through the map. This is real-life FPS, built from scratch. New shell design coming soon. Make sure to follow because I’ve got a lot more to build 👇 by @tracertechapp
7 months ago I was sitting in a Walmart parking lot after searching for a toy gun I couldn’t find, and I thought to myself “What if a blaster used a camera and AI instead of projectiles?” It would know a hit from a miss, a headshot from a torso shot, have way more range than any dart, and run every game mode through a companion app. The next day I ordered the parts and bought a 3D printer. Then I started building it while teaching myself electronics engineering and CAD design. Now TRACER is almost ready for pre-orders. If you have any suggestions, please comment. I want to hear them! #hardwarestartup #buildinpublic #3dprinting by @tracertechapp
🎮 Ever wonder how video games know when you hit your target? Call of Duty and Fortnite wrap every player in invisible hitboxes, simple shapes like boxes and ovals. When you shoot, the game checks if your shot intersects one and registers the hit in milliseconds. So why doesn’t real life work like that? With TRACER, it does. AI-powered computer vision brings video game hit detection into the real world. No vests. No arena. No “I hit you!” “No you didn’t!” 🚀 Follow for launch updates. by @tracertechapp
Testing foam darts vs. AI-powered hit detection. 🎯 We’re putting TRACER to the test at range, and against my eye. Showcasing what happens when computer vision meets real-world gameplay. Comment what you think we should add to TRACER next! by @tracertechapp
We have flying cars, smart glasses, and AI-powered vision… yet so much of how we play is still stuck in the past. 🚀 Technology has evolved. It’s time the way we play catches up. That’s why we’re building TRACER. The next generation of simulated combat, powered by AI and computer vision. The future of gaming is closer than you think. 👀 by @tracertechapp
NERF had its run. Laser tag had its run. No foam darts. No bulky vests. No sensors. Just AI-powered hit detection turning any space into a real-life FPS. This is TRACER. 🎯 The next generation of play is coming. #JoinTracer #RealLifeFPS #GamingTech by @tracertechapp
