Ever said YES before your brain's even had a chance to clock in? 🤣

Someone asks you to do something, and out it comes...

“Yeah, no worries!”

Meanwhile, your brain's going, “Hang on a bloody minute. Did we actually agree to that?” 😂

Here's a thought.

You don't have to give everyone an instant answer.

Sometimes “Let me think about that and get back to you” is a perfectly reasonable response.

Being considerate of others doesn't mean automatically putting yourself last.

**Pause. Think. Choose.**

Ever noticed how bloody complicated we can make accepting help? 😂

We want someone to offer, but we don't ask.

Someone finally offers, and we say, "Nah, I'm right."

Then, if we DO accept, we spend half the time wondering whether they're doing it properly! 🤣

And sometimes we don't even realise how much of this behaviour we've picked up along the way.

But here's what I've been pondering...

Being capable doesn't mean having to do everything yourself.

And helping someone doesn't always mean doing everything FOR them either.

There's a difference between supporting someone's capability and taking over.

Maybe building your spine isn't always about standing on your own two feet.

Maybe sometimes it's about recognising when to accept a hand, when to offer one, and when to let someone find their own footing.

What if accepting help was a choice, not an obligation?

Ever been so busy trying to make the RIGHT decision that you end up making no decision at all?

You go around in circles.

What if I get it wrong?
What if I regret it?
What if someone else knows better than me?

And before you know it, you're questioning your own judgement again.

But what if you didn't need to figure out the entire bloody future before taking one step?

What if you could make a small, considered choice, see what happens, and learn something about yourself along the way?

Even when things don't turn out exactly as expected.

Because a decision that doesn't go to plan doesn't automatically mean you can't trust yourself.

Sometimes it's what you do next that matters.
