YOU ARE INVITED! ❤️🥂🖼️🎶

LIMINAL ~ The space between what was and what’s next.

I’m incredibly excited to share that Liminal will be opening at LEDA Gallery on Saturday, 26 September 2026. ✨

This collection explores the quiet threshold between endings and beginnings — that uncertain, beautiful space where change takes place, where one version of ourselves begins to fall away and something new starts to emerge.

Through flowers, faces, abstraction and surrealism, Liminal reflects the experience of becoming — of letting go, evolving and stepping into who we are next.

🌸 Opening Event 2-5pm
Saturday 26 September 2026
2/850 Hunter St, Newcastle West
NSW Australia

The collection will then remain on exhibition for two weeks, open Wednesday–Sunday, 10am–2pm.

This is a particularly meaningful collection for me, and I’d love for you to experience it in person.

📍 Newcastle, NSW

I hope to see and celebrate with you all there 💕

INTRODUCING TRACY THOMAS — LIMINAL

LEDA Gallery is delighted to welcome Tracy Thomas for her debut solo exhibition, LIMINAL.

Although this marks Thomas’s first solo presentation, she arrives with an astonishingly accomplished and distinctive painting practice. LEDA is honoured to be the first gallery to present her work in this form.

Working across contemporary surrealism and abstract impressionism, Thomas explores identity, femininity and transformation. Female forms, flowers, colour and expressive abstraction converge in paintings that inhabit the emotional space between what has been and what is yet to emerge.

Join us for a special spring afternoon opening, accompanied by a decadent grazing offering and an elevated, spring-inspired bar menu.

All are warmly welcome to attend.

From garage to gallery 🙌 What a beautiful ride ✨

LIMINAL began as an idea — a collection about the space between what was and what’s next. A threshold of change, stillness and becoming.

From the first brushstroke to seeing these works hanging together in a gallery, this collection has taken me on a journey I could never have fully imagined.

There have been moments of excitement, doubt, exhaustion, joy and so much growth along the way. And now, to have LIMINAL exhibited as my first solo exhibition has been something very special.

A heartfelt thank you to Leda Gallery for giving this collection a beautiful space and for being part of this chapter in my journey as an artist.

And thank you to everyone who came, supported, encouraged, shared, messaged, purchased, or simply followed along with me as these works came to life.

Every painting carries a piece of the journey.

And perhaps that is what LIMINAL has ultimately been about for me too — not just becoming through the paintings, but becoming through the process of creating them.

I’m incredibly grateful for this chapter.
And very curious about what is coming next…✨

Dreams really do come true ✨

This exhibition has been a dream of a lifetime. Something I wished for since a very young age

Liminal is relevant to everyone. It’s the space between what was and what’s next — a place where you pause, in a moment of change, before moving forward but also knowing what’s left behind. A moment when you decide to step forward for your future. Each face is emerging forward. Not resisting. Not rushing. More delicately unfolding hence flowers and blooms.

For those who connect, who they speak too, who see things differently, who fall in love with art and must have it

If you love any of my pieces or have a favourite, write its name in the comments

If the collection as a whole, write ‘Liminal’

❤️ TT

IN CONVERSATION WITH TRACY THOMAS

Ahead of her first solo exhibition, LIMINAL, Tracy shares a little about the work.

What does this first solo mean to you?
A moment to reflect on how far I’ve come and step into what’s next.

What does LIMINAL mean?
The space between what was and what’s next. A moment of possibility.

Why flowers?
They can be delicate and powerful at once. In these paintings, they speak around the figures.

Why bring beauty and darkness together?
Beauty feels more powerful when it holds uncertainty, loss and change.

How does a painting begin?
With an image or a feeling. I let the painting reveal itself as I work.

How do you use colour?
Intuitively, to create an emotional world somewhere between reality and imagination.

What did this collection teach you?
That I’m drawn to transformation, and that mystery can give an image meaning.

What do you hope people take away?
I hope they feel something before they try to understand it.
